I've noticed a rather unfortunate development with the latest "updates" to add-ons. The breaking and subsequent fixing of goza mats and multi-tile add-on compatibility is laudable, but for some reason now you can't place curtains or pentagrams next to other curtains or pentagrams.
In my home, the corner of one set of walls is covered entirely by curtains. I made the horrible mistake of wanting to redecorate for Halloween, and chopped down a set of two curtains that formed a corner. Now, no matter what I do, they won't go back up. Moreover, arcane bookcases refuse to be placed next to curtains.
Is the UO dev team really that incredibly concerned about the shenanigans we can get up to with interior decorating? Is there a reason, apart from the hilarious escapades with the giant, psuedo-isometric and almost wholly useless Codex of Virtue gift to change the very physics of house decoration? In UO, where the price of the neon dog creature you ride is apt to cost more than most real estate and mages have to pick through to find the best samurai armor to wear, is putting a gargish couch on top of a gargish chair a deal-breaker that warrants the overhaul of the add-on system?
