Devs, I humbly request the following items be allowed to stack:
yeast

blackrock stew
tattered remnants of an ancient scroll
ancient pottery fragments
balms
music gears
do the chocolate ingredients stack now? I've thrown all of mine out!

Thanks! :danceb:

*adds*

Ginger for makin gingerbread cookies should stack.

All the mento and other sauces needed
to make magic fish pies, need to stack.
Beats having 20-40 unstackin mento and other sauces,
all landing in backpack as singles, is annoying, not to mention storage
in our homes cuz they won't stack.

Magic fish pies, per fish pie type with gm'd with our name on em,
should stack up too.
If 10 apple pies with our names on em stack so should these !

Then the magic fish pies that are the same fish pie type, but not *exceptional* should also stack as unmarked *the loser pies* pile stack, per type ! LOL

Fish food for fishes in our aquariums, should stack too.
Who buys one or two of those when ya have 2-4 aquariums going ! ?
Can't recall if the fish nets, for fishing up aquarium fishes stack or not,
I do not think those stack up either.

The fish food for aquarium fish food, are bottles, so they should stack,
when we buy em and they should also stack, in our homes.

Why can't all the same fish nets, [of same color of nets], also STACK ?

*thinks*

There are probably more items that should stack too,
atm I can't think of some, of the other ones though.

Tokens stacking sounds like a bad idea though.

You didn't really expect a simple or consistent answer to that one, did you? This is UO, after all ;)

Vanilla, and the sacks of sugar - yes (although some really old sacks won't). Cocoa butter and cocoa liquor - no......

Cocoa pulp, harvested, also stacks like other plant resources. Don't know why they couldn't have done the same for the butter and liquor. And I still think they should let us grow vanilla plants. :)

Please add to the list of items that need to be made as stackable the following :

- Messages in a Bottle.

They are all the same before they are double clicked and become either a SoS or Ancient SoS with cohordinates. As Messages in a Bottle they are all just the same item and therefore, definately stackable, IMHO.

- Same level/facet Tattered Treasure Maps.

All of the same one level/facet Treasure Maps are all the same when they are Tattered. Only after they are double clicked and decoded they become different to each other. Therefore, when still tattered and the same level/facet they are all just the same item and therefore, definately stackable, IMHO.

- Same color Fishing Nets.

When being the same color and before double clicking them they are all alike. Therefore, definately stackable, IMHO.

By the way, if when making items as stackable the old, pre-patch items cannot be made stackables like the newly spawned ones, after the patch, please consider adding a "Conversion NPC to the game" to whom players can hand out an X number of same old, pre-patch items and receive the same exact amount of same post-patch items all nicely and neatly stacked toghether..........

Thank you Devs !!

Hang on gang…

Not that I easily disagree with any idea that would make our game lives a little easier, but you have to keep in mind that some items are impossible to stack due to the very basic fact they are more unique.

Treasure maps… like SOS/MIB… unique. Can't stack.

Why they chose to make this +/+ +/- -/- yeast business is beyond me. The whole brewing system is a little too complicated then it need be, but again… that should be possible to stack, logically. You would still end up with how many stacks those variations are. Same with the coco butter and vanilla. Something WAS overlooked here.

Fishing nets… something old and true… you could easily say are just too big to stack, however I could easily see this as logical.

Savage berries & Kin Paint… granite rock, sand… whatever else it was that they fixed to make stackable last time… was WONDERFUL. These are uniformed.

A bigger problem is that stacked goods need weight adjustments. I’ve been saying this using apples for the longest time. No apple in the real world has ever grown so big to be 1 stone. Like regs, they need their weight adjusted dramatically downward. Same is true with a lot of the foods… BUT I don’t think the staff will ever do it.

Another wonderful idea for a stackable would be crafting tools… BUT, they are hardly uniformed. Considering that real life tools, at least ones made years ago, would last you a lifetime… why should something like this break after a few seconds usage? We could free up a lot of room in our houses if these lasted forever… OR were raised to a high enough uniformed point and made stackable. 14 years, this issue has never been addressed and if we are still on and kicking for another 14 years, odds are… we will never see it.

Nope.
As I understand it, Treasure Maps become unique only after decoding them. To my understanding, the action of decoding them actually creates a new item different than the previous one replacing it.

When they are tattered, they are just all the same, given the same level.

Same as Messages in a Bottle. As Messages in a Bottle, they have no cohordinates whatsoever. It is the SoSes which have unique cohordinates. And SoSes only get created by double clicking a MiB. If the MiB is not double clicked but left as it is, they are all the same one MiB........so stackable, IMHO.

wow why not just have t-maps and MiB's recall you directly to the treasure spot when you double click them.

Heck lets go further, why cant I have one runebook where all my runes from 10 runebooks can go.
Can I then have a book to hold my bod books, my SoT book, my special runebook, my t-map book, my powerscroll book. Then I need a book to hold my house contents.

Finally I need a book to hold all the books previously mentioned in one place

What I keep not understanding, is why on earth did we then have designers' and programmers' time spent on Scrolls of Transcendency Books which could already bind with each other to save up storage space.

They were, to my opinion, way but waaaaaaay less necessary then a whole lot of other items need.

Any answer to that please ??

For the record, Treasure Maps or MiBs have no binding equivalent at all.............

MiBs and Tmaps dont need to "bind" or be collected in a book...
You got tons of tmaps? Then Dig em up! MiBs cluttering your house? Fish em up!
The only reason I could see someone wanting to hoard tmaps and mibs is the hopes that the new loot system makes it to them.
I do agree with some of the other listed items (seasonings, pies, blackrock)

as for the idea of making heritage tokens stack..... seriously? is there a way to get new heritage tokens? if not then theres no reason to make them stack just for the few people still hoarding them.

Not all players play the same way. Some players may like playing doing hunting for a few weeks and collecting stuff, then play crafting for sometimes, then go fishing to build up fish stock or do fish questing to get powerscrolls and so raise the skill and so forth.

What I am trying to say, is that the game should look at all playing styles which means, both those players who do treasure Maps and MiBs as they get them and also those players who, instead, prefer first to build up a stock before going doing Treasure Maps or MiBs.......

My point about the Scrolls of Transcendency Books, is that, to my opinion, if an effort has been done to make these Books available in game even though there already were SOTs' binders which were already helping with their storage, then even more so something should be done for the better storage of Treasure Maps and MiBs.

That's at least how I see it.

Problem with the SoTs is not everyone is looking for full 3 or 5 points. And a binder with 2.3 skill is doing noone any good. Pulling 2 scrolls out for the player need 1.1 skill keeps from having binder limbo storage.

Tmaps and SOSs. Once you have gathered 100 of a type admit your a hoarder or lazy. Extra that don't fit in MIB or Tmap container have a place in the trash or the library turn in. There is no real point to hold onto that many. What any SOS or Tmap book wisher should really ask for is a narrowing box that holds 25 items. Put in one SOS and the next 24 all get changed to the same location. Same for level 3 Tmaps lets say.

All Craftable items and all Runics with uses on them should add together like the Fish Baits do.

MIBs and T-Maps do not need this. If you have that many to do then you are not playing a Fisher or T-Hunter, throw or give them to someone that does.

Then, perhaps, rather than making a brand new Book for SoTs, allowing players just to "take out" from binded SoTs whatever amount was needed could have been a viable alternate solution....
Like, for example, one has a 10.0 binded SoT but needs a 1.6. Double clicking the binded SoT would bring up a Menu asking what SoT amount one wants to "pull out". After the ordeal, player ends up with a 8.4 binded SoT and a 1.6 SoT.

I disagree. Players play differently and what sounds fine for one type of players might not be for another type. But the game should try to accomodate as many different playing styles as possible.

If there is time and resources to make available SoTs books then I think there should also be time and resources to make available Books for Treasure Maps and MiBs to accomodate all those who may have a need for them.

I mean, are all players into gardening, perhaps ?

I don't think so, I for one have no plants in UO other than some decorative ones.

Yet, we did get seed boxes. And it makes sense to me because the game needs to address as many problems as possible even if those problems do not touch my game play.

So, there could be players who could not care less for Treasure Maps or MiBs Books but that does not mean that such container books could not be of help to other players just like the seeds containers or others do for other players.

It is an addition to the game, and since it helps players, even when a limited number, it is all good for UO, IMHO.

There's a lot of good ideas here on items that should stack. Why are people hating on popps? Having a way to reduce the amount of lockdowns for treasure maps and mibs is a great idea!
