I am not sure, but I think no.

I was through the cave a few times and did not see a lot of stuff (Actually only 1-2 items) and I know a lot of people are using trash barrels.

However my sample is very low, and we may in fact be able to camp the cave and recycle the points

Cavern of the Discarded - near the middle of the Abyss dungeon.

its in the bottom right of abyss. where the ratmen spawn. cave of the discarded and random items that are put into trash cans pop up down in that area.

That may change AFTER the cleanup >goes active< on other than TC1

which is where >currently< one may answer the original question ...

turn off the re-cycling items DURING the cleanup ...

(not that I think that the "turn-in" WILL dump to cavern of lost, but, we've worked out that they >might< )

BEACUSE during the clean up 1,000,000s of items will be canned for points...and im pretty sure they aint gonna respawn in tha cave for someone else to claim more points FROM the same item over and over again...etc etc etc full circle etc etc...

Simple way to find out... look on TC1 and see if they are littering the area. I would imagine though that those items that have points value wont be recycled into the abyss.. while those without any points value will...

In regards to the trash can. it says there is a menu to target an item to see it's point value. Will this feature be put on our trashcans in our homes with the patch or is there a menu already? when I click on my can it just opens is.

Thats because it hasn't gone live on other shards yet.

You can test on TC1 and you'll see that trash cans have a context menu to appraise items.

That is a funny thought right there. How many times can i get points on the same items!

I have run through the cavern multiple times on TC1, and the only items I see on the floor are non-turn in items.

One of the Napa Guilds did some more extensive testing over the last few days and found the same results as mine.

Possible that the items may drop in the cavern in production, but it looks like it is turned off for now, at least in TC1.
