Except you're only allowed one character on Siege. Why don't you try deleting all of your characters on the accounts you have and play with only one per account. Do you want to do that? No? Why not?
i love how everytime fel players see something they dont like they start ragging on trammies, but the truth is if we "trammies" decided to go on strike and stop producing the goods you pvpers need to pvp then all of you would be in tram farming for the materials to imbue your pvp suits, arrows to fire your bows, and regeants to make your potions.
I would have no problem with that challenge... I have 11 accounts - mostly to hold houses... of that, I really only play with one character anyway. Tazar is it. Of course, he has soulstones and is able to change skills and suits, but that could be done on Siege as well.
Most of my post was debating your Siege = classic shard point. I did a little ragging on people who don't know much about Felucca PvP'ers because they spend all their time in Trammel and then come here to try to debate it. I do fine farming that stuff myself, and I'd farm it in Fel (for the enhanced loot tables) if they would have made the Stygian Abyss dungeon available on both facets. I apologize if I came off a bit terse but it's a poor argument that seems to come up over and over again.

That's fine. How much do you pay a month for all 11 of those? I'll tell you right now, it's not what I'm willing to pay just to have a "classic shard" experience that isn't even completely classic. I'll stick to my one account on Chesapeake, at least for now. But you're missing the point, Siege is not a replacement for what most people asked for with a classic shard. So I completely understand why this guy is leaving, rather than playing Siege.
Siege is dead because it's AoS. If there was a non AoS shard (EA owned) I'd be playing that full time. no Aos = Classic to most people.

Old player here, just came back to UO last night. I see we're all having the same old arguments. Before Trammel, when I was younger, I (mostly) enjoyed the thrill of danger and the player-made wilderness communities, necessary for safety in numbers. Back then, almost everyone knew something about PvP, save some pure merchant players. An RPer who played a warrior but couldn't PvP was considered a horrible RPer. I'm sure that doesn't even make sense to modern MMORPG RPers. Even if you didn't PvP, you inevitably knew a little about defending yourself.
I"ve left the game a few times, each thinking it was the final time. Never felt the need to say anything on forums. Just my close friends. What do most of these people care if I leave? I mean, a few would jump off a bridge, but the majority could care less, they probably would just want my stuff.
Actually, it was a very well thought out idea. I'd take the time to explain it, but I just can't be bothered. I'm thinking even if it was explained in lay terms to you, that you'd never really grasp what an old timer means when they speak of 'community'.

It is the official forum so maybe he considers it feedback. Also for every person that post a "It was fun" post there are 10 that don't. Most people don't feel the need they just quit. UO isn't getting new or returning players as fast as it's losing players and most players have multiple accounts so losing one player is like losing 2-3 accounts. That has to be a concern for anyone that wants this game to live on.
