True its a network error, but they don't have the bug report, GM's in game wont help, and Chrissay has not responded either. So, how do I get them to know its a problem and needs to be addressed? I have emailed Chrissay as well, maybe he/she will get it. Don't know and don't think its going to be addressed.

Well, best idea would be to try re-submitting it again and keep the thread about the bug bumped here. Chrissay probably gets a ton of PM's and emails from people here. Hopefully it will get some attention here and they can reproduce the bug somehow.

DId that too.. got the canned message, to submit via UO bugs email. Thats what sent me there to the email address that didnt work.

I did get email back from Chrissay, they were experiencing network issues on their end when I submitted the emailed bug. But that is the last that I have heard.

I beg to differ. Potentially losing a CASTLE because of a bug with the placing tool is a big deal. I am lucky to have other accounts, and a friend that I could trust to take one of my houses.

Or you could have dropped the house that got placed by accident, resized and replaced the castle. It would be tough to actually lose a castle.

Just as soon as that "real" client is stable, I'm sure more people will start using it. As it is, it's not worth playing until they patch some of the issues with it. I'll gladly help them beta test it, but they've made no real improvements to it... made some gross unimprovements to it with keybindings in the last patch... and so I'll happily play 2D until the next round of real stuff to beta test.

I mean, the client IS still in beta, so it can't possibly be the "real" client, now can it?

yea having to redo a few macro's can be a challange for some and with 3 accouts a pain in the back side but that and the runebook problem are the onl biggy unless you redo you house regularly

It's not so much a challenge than an inconvenience, particularly when you've taken the time to set up the playfield, macros, and key assignments the way you wanted them. Of course, I'm not really upset about it as I know the client's in beta... but the whole "use a real client" thing gets old when the client is incomplete and buggy. Which, of course, is why it's in beta.

Other issues:
- Items disappearing in backpacks which can only be seen in list mode.
- Legacy backpack cursor sensitivity (yeah, I hate the grid and list system).
- Random crashes for seemingly unrelated things.
- Graphics very pixelated and frankly semi-blurry/fuzzy during movement (no, it's not my video card).
- Books written in EC unreadable in 2D.
- Issues with books jumbling text if you click through the pages too fast.
- ...

At any rate, there are numerous reasons I don't play it regularly. I'll be more than happy to once they correct the issues with it, and do something about the graphics (hopefully a retool of existing graphics in their existing styles at a higher resolution). And the graphics aren't keeping me away except for the way they move when I move, which frankly hurts after viewing them for extended periods of time.

Believe me, I want to see the EC to succeed. They need to set it up for success though.

That is why UO is the only game I play, because I get motion sickness with 3d. OH, that is because I spent so many years on ships defending this great country and giving people like you the right to freedom of speech. I think i earn the right to say.... anything. It is obvoius that you never served. If you had, you would know that the pay is often below poverty level if you have a family. As far as playing the "patriotisim card," the fact that you think there is one makes me sick.

Yeah, I get your point. But the castle had 5 free lockdowns. To drop and resize would take two houses just to hold contents, so virtually impossible.

Point is mute. In two days, I can transfer the castle back to the right account, and the 18x18 to the right account. I did however free up some storage space by throwing out all of the housing placement tools I had That is one bright side to this all. And I am now up to 1800 free lockdowns in the castle.

I can see how some people would get irritated by how jfkeach put his military service in a post where it wasnt the main topic but after all He can say what he wants and so can you.

When I read Viper say ...You did this without pay....I assumed he meant he was paid to do it so who cares. After re-reading a few times, i think he meant it nicely.

Veterans deserve the best because they gave their best when it was needed. It isnt done for money. Because you coul earn more at McDonalds. It isn't done for glory. Because there is a trade off when you see action. The reason I did it was just because it felt right. Its the best thing I ever did and I wouldnt trade it for anything. Sooooo jfkeach, thanks for doing the time and the same thing happens to me in 3d. Gotta love the Navy.

Yes, I volunteered. And would do it again. I volunteered for the Gulf, then voluntarily extended 12 months. Then terminated shore duty to go back to sea, just in time for desert shield/storm. And I cross rated to Navy Firefighter too. So not only did I make sacrifices to go to sea, but even when at home, I was still willing to help.

Oh, btw, i bet it eats your shorts that I am now 100 Percent Service Connected Disabled, and I get paid to sit and play this game. My retiree card would be my Patriotism Card, and no, I did not wave it about, but for your enjoyment I will. Thanks for paying me to play this game and buying me that castle.

Let me assure you, there is NOTHING 3D about the enhanced client. Nothing.

I'm married to a veteran who proudly served in the USAF and is now Police. Your comment was out of place and when you throw it in there like that, it does a disservice to other veterans who actually NEED to remind people of their service, from time to time. You didn't earn the right to say "anything," your rights are the same as anyone else's.
