As the weather warms and the days get longer so does my time in UO grow shorter. Every year for the last 15 years I have to leave the game, until the cold fingers of fall once again grasp my world.
For those who don't know and are curious I am a small direct marketing farm to fork farmer under one hat. Under another hat I own and operate 3 farmers markets and am on the board of 2 others. And under yet another work to bring our regional food to low income families, homeless shelters and food pantries. Through the cold months I only work 8-10 hours a day so have time to enjoy UO. Though I don't know how well that is going to pan out moving into the future as we have started year round vegetable production in greenhouses and high tunnels
This morning the peach tree outside my office window opened up in full bloom, which for 15 years now has heralded the end of my time in UO for a couple of Seasons. It has been a pleasure to see old friends again over the winter and make some new friends as well. For those that want to stay in touch during my away from UO time, just look up Thunder 5 Ranch on Facebook and feel free to drop me a PM. The upcoming days for me typically run 18-20 hours per day 7 days per week from April through October so don't be offended if I don't reply quickly
If all goes as I want I will be back in game next November and hopefully everyone will still be around and doing well. Have a great spring and summer my friends!
