Is UO's fate intertwined with Stratics fate?

I may be missing something, but it doesn't look like anyone uses any of the other Stratics forums.

They have a lot of forums with no one on them, except for the UO forums.

I suppose this explains why Stratics has always been soooooo agressive in their protection of all things UO.

It also raises the question "What happens to Stratics if UO shuts down?"

Simple, if UO shuts down like you Doomsayers keep demanding/asking then there will be no need to come to stratics to moan about UO.
Anyways apart from that why would it bother you?

In some ways, I'd prefer to have UO shut down. It is a hard thing to leave even though it hasn't been properly maintained for a loooong time now.

It isn't that I want UO to close, I'd prefer it thrive, but I just don't see that as reality. If they did shut it down, it would save me some subscription fees.



I don't consider it doomsaying when people who work at EA Mythic and actually help make these decisions come right out and say that it has been talked about and in fact was something they were in favor of.

My question was, what happens to Stratics? I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but it is a discussion board. As long as its here, we might as well discuss something eh?

I dunno what would happen to Stratics if UO went away...... My guess is they would just linger on in their current crappy outdated state.

Who knows, maybe the Mods would start banning each other just for something to do.
