i had 14 items which should have unraveled to relics, only got 6 relics and 27 ee out of the deal... not sure if i should have been unraveling at queens forge or the forge in my house. something seems off lately.

There is definitely another factor in that equation that isn't accounted for in the formula.

I've had tons of items lately that should give relics but give essence.

is this information for unraveling relic fragments still accurate?

(intensity*1.2+20+30)*0.7=451%

*0.7 only if the item is already imbued

+20 garg
+30 queens forge

^ as well as the information here about enhance material bonus weights.
I think you are close though you left out the durability factor if it is under 50 durability.
Remember also the unravel intensity is not equal to the imbuing weight. Imbuing weight factors in a weight for each different property (think 1.3 for property weight of HCI or 1.1 for property weight LMC)
The unravel intensity disregards these property weights.

((unravel_intensity * material_bonus) + racial_bonus + forge_bonus) * imbuing_factor * durability-factor

If not imbued the imbuing factor = 1.0
If durability is 50 or higher the durability factor = 1.0

Also note the unravel intensity has a formula if the amount of properties on an item is above 5.

((total of intensity on all properties) / (number of properties)) * 5
