Is there a trick I missed or is it just the RNG?

The last 30 red crystals I've turned in for costumes have all given me bloodworm costumes. Is there some trick or something I missed that gives me a chance of getting something else? Or is the ever buggy RNG just acting up on me?

I'm a little disappointed, I was hoping that I'd be able to get a Shadow Wyrm costume, but with every Bloodworm I get I feel less and less like doing the quest anymore.

The RNG can be a pain in the butt.....

Went 50+ without shadow wyrm then finally started to catchup.

There was even once where I got 3 dream wraith out of 4 turins

today all I wanted to do was get red gems and try for the shadow wyrm costume.... all I have gotten so far (about 20 gems) is one red, the rest blue

Since it takes five for the second I took one each on a few of my characters.

Second character got the skeleton. The third character I got the shadow wyrm. Does that help?
