Is there a problem with Merchant Ships

We were out taking out some merchants and when all the merchants were dead we could no longer fire on there ship. It would not take any damage. Anyone else have this problem

Try crossing closest server line and returning to the area. This SHOULD alleviate your issue with being invulnerable.
