Is there a home design program that works on Win7 64 bit?

There used to be one that I used ages ago, but doesn't seem to work on Windows 7 64 bit.

Any help out there?

I don't know which program you are talking about, but....

Have you tried running it as admin and/or compatibility mode for Windows XP?

Also, what program is this? :O

Ya that's the one. I'm at work... "working", so I was able to debug the error.

I get "The type initializer for 'Ultima.Art' threw an exception."

Does the program look for a UO installation to get it's art assets?

I ended up having to install the ML client off of Fileplanet, for it to work.

I'm guessing they have "EAGames" hardcoded in it's path instead of "Electronic Arts", which is where the client goes if you download and install a fresh SA client.

try running in XP Compability mode, you do this in properties for the file under the fan "compability" should solve it, but may not since the compability system isnt foolproof. but worth a try

That doesnt work for me on Vista or windows 7

you mean you cant set it to compability or that the compability doesnt work?, might try an even earlier windows version like win98 if the last is the answer to my question.

Sorry, I meant that setting the compatibility does not allow the program to work. I have tried to set it for all availalable settings. It has something to do with there not being the correct paths in the registry because the newer UO does not place the same ones.

I am happy to say. I have been able to redo HB into .Net 2.0.
And it can now use the SA tiles.
YEAH...
Now I just need to go thru and recode the toolbox.xml file for the new tiles.
And I am hoping by that time the FTP will be back up, so I can upload the new version.
I am hoping to have it done sometime this week.
But we will have to see how long it takes me to redo the XML file.
There are about 7000 new tiles to add.
