This was a completely new, separate, an only weakly related question. I can understand why the first thread was locked. But, why lock the second thread which addressed a valid, separate question that was in need of being answered by my peers, regardless of the fact that it referenced a locked thread (only for background information, mind you...)?

Either some mods are on a power trip, or they need a class or two in basic logic.

P.S. This post *is* reopening a locked thread and I expect it to be locked as soon as someone stops eating their cheetos (tm) cereal and gets up off their fat ass to do something about it. Until then, your time might be better spent examining your blind faith to other moderators and not acting like zombies in a lockstep.

Perhaps you should go back and re-read the ROC for Stratics before posting again. Agree or disagree with them now, you DID agree with those when you signed up to the Stratics forums.

I agreed to follow their rules. I didn't agree to be silent when one or several of them make a mistake and fail to own up to it. If they would rather ban me than listen to some sensible, if slightly incendiary discourse, then so be it. But that's pretty typical when you start looking at online communities with a particular sense of entitlement. How else do you pay your volunteers except with a power-trip every once in a while?

It's perfectly within their right to do whatever they want with my account, as this is a private server. But things get a bit fuzzy when EA states that this is their only place to communicate casually with the UO community. You can deny me the content of my messages as you wish. But you can't deny me the context.

It's not the only place... there are several fan sites, and also Facebook if you are into that. That aside, I run a professional forum and am MUCH stricter that Stratics is. It's really tough being a good moderator, and I think Stratics does a decent, even though maybe not perfect, balancing job.

If you have a beef, take it up with Petra in PM, not in a public forum. Your posts regarding these matters really belongs in Spiels N Rants, not UHall.

Okay, I get it... moving on! Can I lock my own thread?

How much do I have to pay stratics to become a mod?

Oh, that's right, I'm not the WRR (Whispering Rose Radio) conglomerate of protestant christians which seem to have an overwhelming presence in many, many shards shoving their religion down my eyes and my throat.

Purposely trying to aggravate the Mods isn't going to put you in their favor.

You can delete your own posts...

Really? I would in a heartbeat. But I can't see how, aside from editing all of my individual posts and replacing them with a blank post.

Yeah, that's not helping your case.

You can't delete a post once replies have been made. A UHall mod is going to have to close this down when one arrives. Last check none of them were available.

Yeah, I don't really have to make a case here as I'm only stating an observation. Oh, with examples too.
