Good Morning,
My apology for the late introduction but I felt there was more important News to cover first before spending time on a personal introduction letter.
For those of you who do not know me I am the “loud mouth” Lord Gareth and Merik former news reporter from the Chesapeake Shard. I have decided to come out of my shell and try something new that I enjoy which is “Drooling over all pixel crack items you lucky dog players collect” *Smiles* My user name does have a UO Moderator title but that is for the Chesapeake shard and Fishing/Treasure Hunting forums. I wanted to make it clear that Athelas is the Rares Forum moderator I am NOT so there is no confusion and Athelas does not have to take responsibility for me (Don’t want to triple their work load hehehe)
I am not exactly sure how I managed to land this position and will be blunt. Compared to all of you, I do not feel qualified for this Rare (Pun intended) opportunity to serve as your News Reporter but to each user on this forum I make you this promise. To give you 110% all the time, become qualified for this position, deliver above and exceptional quality work and try to earn the respect of each person that is part of this wonderful Rares community.
To me Reporter Positions are a privilege and honor to have and I feel lucky to have been trusted with it by those who I like to call “The Charmed Ones” [Google TV show Charmed for reference] to perform this task for you. I have witnessed irreparable damage caused to communities on various sites by irresponsible reporting for personal gain and vendettas and assure you that this will not happen here. I do not sell gold, collect rares or assist anyone with whatever type of business they may run. I do however buy rares to use in RP for the eight townships I work with but that is the extent of my rares purchases.
My goal is to provide the Rares community with vital and useful information along with entertaining stories. Anything the Rares community wants to have I will do my best to create (with the approval of my boss because she can push a button that shocks my collar hehe and there are some things we are not allowed to do or is the in the moderators realm.) I feel the reason for my being here is to provide news coverage, documents and create sections for you the “Rares Community” feel are useful and needed.
I have already completed my first Museum review which was Lineman’s of Chesapeake and will be working on the next review soon. Right now my list of responsibilities is rather short and consists of

There are tons of them out there so I will do my best to try and complete at least one a month. Currently I have the museum owned by Jinx and another owned by Diablo on my list. If you would like to be added to this list let me know by sending me the following information.

I don’t want to just give you a picture and its name, I have never done something like this and have a few ideas but am open to suggestions.
Long Term Project
I have a large project I would like to undertake but need to get permission from someone to use their information before announcing it.
What I would like for you to let me know anything you would like to see created and what you would like to see me focus on the most, that’s important to you. I am wide open to any suggestions you may have and will give almost anything a try if you really want it.
