Basically RETURN TO BRIT houses..[RTB].........was a spate it time were the come back to britainia promotion allowed players to reopen accounts ...any amount they had...be it 2-3 or 20......all free of charge...to come back and try UO again... well lots of players returned...lots of players that were playing still reopened old accounts anyways...posiblily checking what they had in bankboxes/skills etc etc... at this time u could also place houses on these ''free accounts''... sooooo many many many many many houses were placed......people had houses on a half dozen shards etc etc.....HOWEVER EVERYONE EXPECTED them to fall after the normal 90 day fall rule......well they never did fall... and they stood for many years.....so the lands look full of players....
Now some of the UO population [ prob the ones that Didnt have a RTB]..... wished and plagued the devs to sort it out...''make them all fall'' .........''i aint got a extra house so why should anyone else'' they cried... they pleaded AND RIGHTY SO I GUESS!!!!.....but these same people didnt realize how many RTBs there was!!!! many years have passed and i believe that the GMs were given ''the power'' to physically check all houses on all shards and thus turn them into the decay cycle if they were not legit paid for accounts...
Hence why half the housing on all shards as fell in the last 3 weeks........[does that help]
