Install Trouble

I have downloaded the uo classic client from the UO website and I am just trying to get it working on my crappy new 10 inch windows 7 starter edition laptop with no CD drive so i can't just install an older version I have on CD.

I have plenty of room on the computer, no firewall, and no viruses. There is no patch in the UO folder that i can delete and start again... what could be the issue??

I know this laptop is lame and all and it's a temp thing for me to just get online... but I have ran and installed UO on plenty of worse off computers with no issue.... Any ideas why it wont patch? I get an error during patching.

Would help if you actually stated what the problem was...

Have you set uo to run as admin? If you havent right click the UO icon then select run as admin then you should patch.

i had problems with SA client under Win 7.

if running as administrator doesnt fix it, you might try getting the mondains legacy client from somewhere else on the web and ptach it up. takes a while but did the trick for me with one of my netbooks (dont ask me why though...)
