Inscription training

Hey folks just a quick question regarding inscription training, in the faq it says to make mark scrolls from 46 to 60, but these have only a 7.6% chance of success at my level (50), just wondering if this info is still accurate as I was under impression 50% was optimum level for gains. Also in the faq it states the following
Level 6 => 46.4 do Mark (not the cheapest but easy to sell)

just curious as to what the =&gt stands for?

Also would using a talisman for increased inscription bonus mean an increase of the lvl of spell being made was necessary or simply mean i can increase my success chance at a lower level and still gain?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

yes, if you use a tali you can gain with higher level stuff. 50 to 70% is the range to stay in..

i would keep making recalls tho, until you get at least a 50% chance to move up, as the failure will cost you alot and you can sell recalls and make a profit.

what i did was throw on a tali and start with mark, then gate, then earth elemental.
i moved on to spell books for awhile, but as i was poor i switched to vengefull spirit to gm.. those sell for over 100 per at the necro mage shop (the highest i think any scrolls sell for). when i was done i had just over 2m in profits.

mana regen stuff is your friend, get some armor that has mr2 pieces, you can use rune beetle carapace 3mr, and i had bright sight lenses 3mr and a boomstick 3mr.. you can easily and pretty cheaply get to 15+ mr

if you get some necro you can scribe in lich form.. for the extra mr

the =&gt is some text encoding that the new boards didnt like.

When training crafting skills I would aim for success rate around 60-80. This is even more true for inscription because it's the only crafting skill where you'll get more money out than you put into resources - so higher success rate means more profit.

You might want to investigate which spells to make. If you run a vendor it's natural to make those you can sell. But if you sell back to NPCs some spells cost a lot less than others to make. Recall and gate being at the expensive end.

As for using a talisman I'd think twice, because mana is the limiting factor in your training and inscribing higher circles means more mana cost. But again - if you sell gate scrolls to players it might make sense.

As aarons6 suggests necro can help you regaining mana. Lich form is good, but requires more than just basic necro skill (jewelry can help you of course). Lich form AND summon wisp is a great mana regen boost, so If you have room (or soulstones) on your template I'd consider raising necro and SS to a level where you can summon a wisp. That's probably the cheapest mana regen you can get.
