Inscribing a river

Hi, been trying to inscribe a super slayer, 120 magery, 120, eval, 120, med, 100 inscribe, the "my book" tali and have churned out hundreds of books, none a super slayer. Is there something I am missing?

Yes. RNG(random number generator). Each time you attempt to make a spell book,a "dice roll" happens,with minimum and maximum mod weight you can get. You just haven't hit "a natural 20" yet.

I think I burned 20k scrolls before I got my first demon slayer book and it didnt have any additional mods... since then I have produced a few superslayers with extra mods... but I have burned 60k scrolls to get them

The Tali is from Britain Library, Has high Inscription bonus on it, usually 20 something in bonus and exceptional, can be used to summon a spellbook I believe. You link it to a book like you do with a petball and a pet. Also has int. +5 and mana increase 2.

Me and my buddy burned 100k scrolls and I think we got 5 or 6 superslayers.

Why would you link a talisman to a spellbook instead of just carrying it with you in your bag? What am I missing here?

Haven't done scribe real recently. But I burned about 200k worth of scrolls and averaged about 1 super slayer per 10k scrolls

It doesnt link to any books or summon. It just has 5 int and 2 mana with a random scribe/exceptional bonus above 20.

Supposedly the My Book Talisman has a "hidden" mod that gives you an extra MOD roll when adding mods to the books your creating. Not only does this help in getting books with 2 mods but if your normal mod roll(s) fails there is that hidden mod roll from the Tali which would at least give you a better shot at a one MOD book. Weather or not it is "fact" i can't really say 100% just like many things in UO.

I will say this though i've noticed when crafting Scrappers that i would get so many more double modded scrappers while using the My Book Tali compared to when i wasn't using it that now i ALWAYS wear the My Book Tali when i am crafting ANY spellbooks. Having a better chance at getting any MODS and a decent shot at a second MOD gives you a better chance at getting those Super Slayer books. So my suggestion would be to get yourself a My Book Tali equip it and try again and see what happens! IMO it's totally worth it.

Just to clear things up you don't have to select a monster type or link the tali to anything. You just equip it and if your wearing it while crafting spellbooks your "suppose" to get that hidden extra MOD roll bonus!
