In need of PvP guild

Like the title says i need to join a guild. Been goin solo way to long and i need to get back into PvP and make some new UO bro's.

You may know me as Dread Jr or Malimus my 2 main's. Ive been playing on Pacific since the start.

Anyway im lookin for a guild that does not use speeders or hacks, does a lot of PvP/spawns often, and has some generally kick ass members willing to help me out with advice on templates and todays PvP. I have basically all the gear one would ever need so i dont need help in that area and my castle isnt far form fel Yew gate either.

Also it's not like i have not been pvping at all and im a skilless noob or anything... Its just i am tired of being on the ganked end of the deal with no one to back me up. That and i miss good PvP.

You are pretty much SOL on any of the main PvP guilds on this account. Once a guild has what I will term "l33t" PvPers, odds are very good they are juiced. It is the sad fact of the matter.

So which are you looking for? PvP or spawns? SUPR does a bunch of both but leans more toward PvP. However given it is summer time, a good portion of our members are out partying. SUPR is also involved in Factions.

I've been more than impressed with SUPR members. They have been very generous with template advice, always willing to duel/critique, and very often help with equipment. What I will grant you is a good number of them came from FL but I also know one or two from my days on Napa. But like any PvP guild of some size, egos do explode and some people just have abrasive personalities.

Its just i am tired of being on the ganked end of the deal with no one to back me up. That and i miss good PvP.

Sadly, no matter what guild you are with, you are gonna be on the ganked end. SUPR members are quick to come help if they don't get tied up.

I'm not trying to recruit you... just give you some information concerning the guild I'm in: SUPR. I'll let someone else go into a guild by guild break down of who uses what, who's a "trammy" PvP guild(aka they do 90% spawns), who gate fights, etc. I'd rather not get infracted

prrretty much, what you have is two major guilds right now.
SUPR and M.
Both are comprised of a lot of old FL members. The difference is that the origianal supr members were all M members as well. Needless to say, M didn't work out for us, and thus, supr was born.
So, obviously theres some major differences in terms of the way the guild is ran. What we have here is kindof like star-wars. the |M|pire vs the rebellion.


I can't for the life of me, figure out all the sub-guilds that son and dos broke into. Theres a gaggle of them.

But thats kinda what i figured. Perhaps its finally time to throw in the towel and sell my account's and Caslte. Go hop on my Harley and start my travels lol.

PS. The only real L33t PvP'ers IMO are the ones that dont need Speeders and Easyscripts. The ones that do use that crap are UO PvP poser's that need to be smashed in the teeth with the ban stick.

You don't HAVE to be juiced to compete. I don't use any sauce and remain a steady meat shield Template does play a role in my case though I don't mind being a meat shield and not one of the kill shot pod racers since I help my own guildmates get kills... whether it is fields all over the place, poison spamming, or healing, I try to find a way to fit in.

The problem you will run into in 1v1 is if a guy uses the sauce they will be almost impossible to kill because they will be off your screen before you know it.

There are some other beyond weak tricks going on that would probably get me infracted if not banned for even mentioning. But most of the major PvP guilds know about them but don't use them... at least in my experience.

I honestly don't care what you think about how I pvp, I just think you need to get off your high horse just because you don't know how to adapt to changes.

Its hacks like you driving the legitimate players out of this game and killing PvP for the non hacking player.

Given the number of PvPers, the number who leave UO is insignificant... and certainly NOT the prime reason that people are leaving UO. I'd say game wide, we have MAYBE 500 PvPers which account for MAYBE 1000 subscriptions. The 100 people who have left UO over hacks are insignificant in terms of the subscription base of 100k (numbers are strictly a guess but probably fairly accurate)

I'd say the top reason people are leaving is EA not fixing their own screw ups in a timely manner. Uh hello? Six flaming months to fix something you JUST put in and have half of stratics giving the SAME detailed instructions on the problem. When I was in commercial software development, I was lucky to get 6 days to fix a bug I just put in... six months? I wish.

And I'd say second reason is they are forcing junk down people's throat based upon the 1% of stratics vocal people. I'm sorry but modifying PvP based upon input from people who do NOT PvP is beyond stupid. But I've come to expect nothing less from EA

No comment about how much EA has screwed vet players(AO$ 5 stat point bonus ring a bell) or all markets but asian(aka Asians getting special offers but not the US guys along with corrupt EMs there)

This will never happen in UO's life time. Too much of the player base would be lost if they took a hard nose approach and there is no way they will ever get the numbers back. Their chance to have pulled it off was several years ago.

I'd say if EA lost 10-25% of their current subscriptions, UO would be closed for good.

But back onto the original topic of "non-cheating guilds". Good luck on finding a competitive guild. And have safe journeys.

Now if EA/Mythic were to come out and say its OK to use these hack programs you love and DEPEND on so much then i would use them. No. For it to work properly you have to do the same thing as the 2d animation.
