Well if I was running a 210 stam suit + spltering fork and knew i might go up against a 100% RPD suit Id just craft the weapons best for fighting it. Sure splinter is nice and you could always enhance such a weapon with val for 60% elemental but honestly splinter is just the icing on the cake. 100% elemental imbued works pretty darn good. The bows wood be tougher but my point is that for sacrificing SOME offense you can NEGATE a huge part of RPD as defense... Honestly though if your newbie hunting they will fall for RPD 99% of the time heh...

Yes true but if you can make a rpd suit (80%-100%) without sacrificing something too big, well its a huge bonus imo.

Well All these composite bow with 50 SSI, are 95% of the time all 100% physical damage, because 40 SSI rarely come with an elemental damage mod when reforging. All The ssplintering weapons also have most of the time 100% physical damage.
Not strictly true, I've pulled splinter weps with split damage and enhanced the Physical damage off - I've made 40SSI bows with split damage too, though it doesn't seem to go above 30/70.

Nice Risso... This is pretty much what I think I'd be inclined to build but can I ask you how you went about skill wise?

120 Mage
120 Med
120 Eval
120 Resist
120 Parry
100 Anatomy
100 Scribe
------------------
800 Points.. I'd personally drop that to 100 Med = 780 points which is +60 Skill increase... Do you just have amazing pieces or you sacrificed MED below GM level or possibly only say 100 parry & +40 skill increase instead?
120 Mage
60 Med
120 Eval
120 Resist
100 Parry
100 Anatomy
100 Scribe

I don't really use it as an offensive template so the lower Meditation isn't as big of an issue, but I could definitely bump up the skillpoints with a Hephaestus and a different ring or even lose the Orny as well to take Meditation up to GM or higher. It's probably my most well-rounded suit as I have 6 mages to suit and not enough quality pieces to go around (I prefer to make all my suits myself).

This is my first attempt at reforging a suit. All together I have roughly $5 dollars and less then 5 mill gold invested in it! (I filled all my own barbed kits roughly 50 or so. Thank you work for letting me play all night while you pay me to play) So dont laugh... Though I did manage to get some really nice pieces!
Everything else I had laying around,

Ah... my Troll suit

Naked suit.jpg

MR 13
HPR 4
HPI 25
SR 9
damage eater 18%
30 sdi
fc/fcr 3/6
105 lrc
40 lmc
45 dci

uses staff of the magi
Nothing is enhanced, I have exactly 44 Energy Resist Mage-eval-resist-med-hiding-stealth-tracking.

...and I just realized I'm only 250 stat-cap....

Hardest part about this suit was getting all the right mods with 0% CF & 44 in all resistances or lower.

That's the next suit I'm going to try and make, however RPD is capped at 105%, so you could get that lmc up to 40, and the dci to 45 pretty easily.
going to take many many B-kits (hard to get RPD with reforging, as it's random).
RPD is not capped at 105

Very interesting it's apparently capped at 250% RPD (UO-guide), though the highest you could possibly reach with current equipment is 175% (including a weapon & shield) with 15/20 respectively.

I'll mess with it some later, I use a RPD suit on my sampire, might have to re-do his suit ;).

Suit #1
100 LRC
40 LMC
45 DCI
5SSI
15 Spell Damage Increase
2/5 casting(2/6 can be overkill)
65/70/63/70/70

16 MI
16 HPR
20HPI
6 SR
19MR
10 Casting Focus
17 Damage Eater
12 Fire Eater
5 Int
50 EP

Thats in field mode, for duels i swap out the hat and ring, have more CF and more MR and no EP. Usually 6 more MR and finish off the CF cap.

I use this suit on my necro scribe mage.

14 Dmg Eater
12HPR

3 SR
8 CF
12 Fire Eater
16 MI

No Ep on this char, i try not to rely on pots tbh, let alone bother working 50 EP into every suit. Pots are boring.

This i use on my Mystic Mage, so the sdis not a waste as it pairs up as a pvm/pvp character.

115 LRC
27 Sdi
45HCI
40DCi
2/6 Casting
40 LMC
65 70 70 70 70 (miles overcap on all for corpse proof)

19 MR
20 HPI
9HPR
12 Int
8 Mana

This is on a tank Scribe with fencing+nox.

All my suits are made using basic arties and a few little cool bits thrown in(i have some cool rings).

Again no EP purely because if you can suvive without them, when you do have EP and use them you are even harder. (hense why Mervyn is so easy, especially when he runs out of pots)

Oh and there is no problem with running 20HPI, 125+ HP is normally more than enough but most of mine run 135.

Last mage suit would be pure mage setup.

Which is basically
100 LRC
40 LMC
45 DCI
Max CF
Max DMG Eater
Some fire Eater
25ish MR
15+HPR
Some mana/int increase
20HPI
2/6.

I seriously doubt the value of maximum in all eaters, people spend fortunes on suits to go max eater and i dont get it... especially seeing as it really doesn't make the difference on whether you win or lose, most of the time player skill is the key factor, 99% of the time.

More mana regen is much better, pressure pressure pressure. As long as you can keep pressure on and balance the suit for the templates needs to a reasonable degree, you are the last bit that matters.

I felt the same way on water when I initially started reforging..but after hours on test figuring out combos and min/max intensities before all the cool spreadsheets were around. I found it to be extremely useful..

When you get a few hours or so and want to toy with it burn yourself a suit with the cannot be repaired property so it's easier to get..and get 30 fire 30 kinetic 18 damage and 20-25 energy with max hpr..and around 20 hpi 125 str..you'll change your views..especially running 50ep on an alchy scribe the hpr+eater sand pots it's hard to die 2v1 nm 1v1..if you even take it a step further and go human attunement/gor you're stupid hard to kill
