Im sorry to bother you lot. I posted this on the crating forum but im going to post this here as well in hope for a faster answer. Im gonna be home in 1 hour and i would love to be able to actually play my toon when i get there.

I hope you dont get angry with me about doubble posting this. And if you feel offended just report it and a mod can remove it :stretcher:

[Copy paste from crafting forum]

Ive been trying to read upon this imbuing proffesion and i think im quite up to date with weapon and jewel Imbuing.

But when it comes to imbuing armor i feel really lost. Lets say i craft a horned leather piece with my tailor. The item will then gain the following as long as i use a normal tool(not a runic that is)

1# Regular leather armor gains: 2 / 4 / 3 / 3 / 3
2# Exeptional armor gains an additional 15 spread over the resists.
3# If the items is crafted with Horned leather it adds: 2 / 3 / 2 / 2 / 2
4# If the crafter jas GM Arms lore the it adds an additional 5 spread over the resists.

What i dont under stand is if these resist count as a property or not? Does it count into the total item weight? Does it depend on where the resists en up?

In a perfect world this could yield the following if both the exeptional and the arms lore resist goes to fire. I know is not likely but im just using it as an example to make it easy.
4 / 27(?) / 5 / 5 / 5

Would i be able to add 5 properties to this item? Or does those extra resists count as a property?
Lots of questions, i know, Sorry about that. Ive been looking around forums and asking ppl ingame but i get diffrent ansewers all the time and the imbuing tool doesnt really help me in this case.

Thanks in advance Oracles!

Resists on your base non-imbued item don't count as properties, the highest base resist I've seen is 20 Energy though :)

Ahh okey. And this is still the case with exeptional items crafted with horned leather by a tailor with GM arms lore?

So many ppl have told me that this isnt the case. But your quite often right Risso. Thanks mate.

Yep since the higher resist just takes away from the other resists it still counts as the same base total, so doesn't affect imbuing :)

In my experience I've only seen resists count as a property when the item was crafted with a runic tool.

Bonus resists dont count as property nor do they count against the intensity limit.
If you want to improve one of the pieces resist by imbuing, your going to loose all these free bonus points on the resist that you are going to imbue.

Ehrm okey. So what i really should be looking for is a piece that has no extra resist in poison and fire, if i intend to imbue those resists anyway?
In that way i should get the most out of the other resists slots and still be able to Imbue LMC/MR/MI?

while it is possible to put all your armslore bonus into ONE property there seems to be something in the code that prevents the random bonus from exceptional going into one property, its almost always evenly spread out.

The 20 points you get from exceptional and arms lore never seem to be on just one resist, but very rarely they get pretty close to it.

It's possible to get some better than average resists without using a runic kit, but it's not common. If you need really high resists, you'll have to use runic kits for your blanks that you imbue. I have gotten a 27 physical resist with a bronze runic and valorite plate; the starting phys resist for leather armor is 3 points lower, so you will probably max out the property at 24 with a runic kit. Without a runic, you can probably figure that you might get a 16 plus using barbed leather and a regular sewing kit once every 100 tries or so.

When I am making an uber suit for a customer, I will buy a half dozen horned runic kits and burn them to get the blanks; I look for resists over 21, without properties that the customer doesn't want. When I've made an item with, for instance, 5/11/23/22/14, and I hit the imbue button and it shows that there are 2 properties used, I might imbue the physical resist up to 17, then I'll have 2 imbues left. However, the cold and poison are over 100%, so I will have to do like 4 or 5% LMC and 20% LRC to stay under the 500 point cap.

I am moderately offended by this double post. 2 is an evil number, if you triple posted It would be fine.. but 2! Oh know I said it 2 times. But now i've said it three, triple is good, remember that lesson... Oh *goes to report* Fortunately for you, I'm highly lazy so you win this round batman.
