Imbuing in SA

I've read the Imbuing Q&A on the SA forums, but didn't find the answer to my question. Is there a chance to destroy an item while imbuing, or does failure consume the ingredients without harming the object?

I'd like to add a property to this axe, but not if it could destroy it. Would also like to top out the HCI, and DI..

I really hope there is a chance to destry the object cause other wise its going to turn pretty obsene pretty fast with all the uber gear.

Wow that is a very very nice axe....wanna sell? I was under the empression that you couldn't imbue weapons that have had powder used on them and from the looks of it that item appears to have had its durability enhanced but I'm not certain it just appears that way.

A) They have stated that imbuing will consume the ingredients, not the item.

B) You will be able to powder items to max before imbuing, however you cannot powder them afterwards, and any repairs that result in durability loss will eventually wear out the item (so be smart about when and who repairs it)

So we will be able to repair items? i was under the impression that we would not even be able to repair them.

Yes you can repair them.... but each repair brings durability down so baiscally you can repair 255 times andddddddddd thats along time so imbu sucks my nuts!

thats what I was thinking; i have an uncursed arcane shield that i have repaired maybe 3 times since I purchased it in 2003. I also did not really need to rair it all; just was not thinking. granted i didnt not play from april 2004- till July 2008 but for the most part it woudl seem that an item with 255 durabilty is going to last a loooong time.

I think imbuing is great, now we wont have to be in factions to have a chance at pvp.

oh you'll still need to be in factions......... I wish they werent repairable though that would be enjoyable cause people could make good ass weapons for a certain amount of time it would break it would make u farm more to pvp more etc. etc..... but nooo lets make it repairable 255 times and last a life time so everyone will have godly weapons soooner or later and they erally just need to work the kinks out of it... idk!

Well lets just hope and pray that you will lose resources and the weapon regardless of that the QA. says.

Why do you think we will need to depend on faction items after SA?
