[Imbuing] Imbuing and Enhancing

If you are imbuing and Enhancing, like for instance if you're crafting 100 Luck, can you then just have the 100 Luck and then enhance the Luck to 140 first and then imbue the other stats afterwards or will that mess up the later stats by raising the combined total of the suit?

yes, you can do that. I have done it for my tamer. You need a lot of mushrooms, because a lot of the 100 luck pieces break when enhancing. For best chance, when enhancing leather armour, choose pieces with low physical resist.

Ok, but it doesn't mess up the imbuing to add the +40 luck *before* imbuing the rest of the abilities?

I havent made any 140 pcs yet but you will have to take the hit and imbue the luck first meaning less % chance on whatever else you are imbueing.

The +40 luck gets figured into the total intensity of the item.

For instance, if you imbue an item with 100 luck, it now has used 100 points towards the total intensity (450 or 500). If you succeed at enhancing with spined leather, it now has 140 luck and has used 140 points of its total intensity. This is why it is best (yet more expensive) to enhance after the imbuing is done. Also, enhancing with some materials can add additional properties (like Ash) that will count towards the total intensity and as one of five properties.

Remember that Luck, resists, durability, and elemental damage are the only properties that are factored into the enhancement equation, and only those that change from the material added, at that. So if the only attribute that is in that group that will be changed is luck, then enhancing a 100 luck item will have the same chance regardless if the other 400 intensity is used or not.

Yeah, but if it breaks, then at least you only wasted the 100 luck, not the 4 other mods.

On the other hand, though, you might only get 2-3 of those remaining mods onto the item, from intensity limits caused by having the 5 Physical and 40 luck from the leather added to the 1-property-imbued 100 luck item being enhanced.
