When I played the beta it seemed that the deal was that any imbued item's durability would be capped at 150 and the item would not be allowed to have any durability added to it afterwards. So you imbue item A and it's durability goes to 150 (kinda like getting an artifact in doom which all have 255) and after that it is stuck at 150 until it breaks. However, the items were considered "normal" items in terms of durabilily decreasing. So an imbued item's durability would diminish at the same rate as any other none imbued item.
It seems that when the expansion came out, it was changed to where the item to be imbued is POF'd to 255 and then imbued with all the needed mods. Then it wears down at an exceedingly faster rate than non-imbued items. Plus it still can't be POF'd anymore once it is imbued.
Now, I dunno about other's opinions, but it seems the latter was a WAY better deal than the current situation. I mean would you rather have an item that has it's durability automatically taken to 150 and wears at a normal rate or items that have to be POF'd to 255 or whatever and then wear down to zero within a couple of hours.
The reason I'm stating this is because of the numerous complaint threads regarding the diminishing rate for durability on imbued items and the fact that POF (Powder of Fortifying) is almost impossible to find now.
Oh and P.S.
Whoever decided to make the change to the durability factors on imbued items was probably the person who designed the puzzle room. LOL
