[Imbuing] imbue/unravel question

if i loot an item that has high intensity.. something that MAY unravel into a frag... and then i throw an imbue or two onto it to 'improve' its intensity... will that HELP or HINDER my chances of getting a frag?

as i understand it, imbued items have their weight multiplied by 0.7... so, does the WEIGHT of the IMBUED PROPERTIES get multiplied by 0.7, or is it the overall weight of any item with an imbue tag on it?

Basically im askin if i find a high intensity item, should i unravel as is or should i throw more stuff on it for good measure?

Thanks

if you have a item high in properties you can enhance them and get relics but imbuing them you lose more than you gain

It's the overall intensity that gets modified. Weighting plays no part in unraveling (you could have 4 1.4 properties at max, and it would still be 400%, not 560%).
