Imbue gains in RoT

Just for clarification, I'm currently at 92 skill and usually go out hunting then unravel a large bag of loot and get a .1 gain... Would any single loot piece get me that gain as long as the timer was up or would it need to be say a "major magic item" just curious, I getting gains but was just wondering whether a lesser would do it just the same as a higher strength piece.

Try one piece of high end loot. You should gain every 12 minutes.

Thank you, so the "weight" of the piece would impact success, I will put it to the test.. the reason I was wondering is once I got to GM I was going to get an alac then just log in every 12 mins and unravel a single item at home and log out but I need to know what to stick pile. Should get all the way to 120 on a single scroll that way.... Just need to save up for the 120 imbue and the alac now haha. Now I have that soulseeker I can kill cyclopes and titans easy though so sticking loot and gold should be easy enough.

Make sure to set yer timer to 15 after GM. I think it is easy enough to earn yer own 120 imbuing by doing a quest of some sort. I could be wrong...

Yeah I just stock pile everything I can... then I unravel one by one and keep getting gains...

when I did it I simply unraveled single lesser artifact pieces and above every 15 minutes from 100-120.

I used driftwood bows and Bronzed Armor of the Valkyrie to go to 120

I personally just imbued an item so it was fairly full of points, then added luck with success chance in the teens, then gain off the fails without wasting resources or having to rely on unraveling.

Aaaah! So if the imbue success chance is low it will give me the gain also! Will that not burn through essence and residue still though even for a failure? Or just gems?

use this guide, just follow it and use it when your ROT gain is ready.

It will burn also essence and residue... The only thing that you don't lose when you fail imbuing an item, are the special reagents ... It's for that most of us trained imbuing just unraveling items

right now is a good time to stock up on lesser artifacts and higher items. there are a bunch of knights of the living dead monsters roaming the land that are actually crimson dragons. be there when people kill these and wait for the corpses to go public. you'll find tons of items and many of them being lesser artifacts or above for unraveling. grab as many as you can (load up a giant beetle) and store them in your house for unraveling.

They were beyond my skills to kill, tested the unravel the other night though and major magic items still give me a gain in the 90's

I didn't say kill them yourself. Wait around when people kill these things and loot the leftovers as soons as the corpse goes public. You'll be surprised how much artifact level loot will still be on them simply because people have more than enough of everything and usually the combinations of mods on the items don't make sense unless you're a caster type...

I have done 6 to 120 imbue at the wolf house. Use mystic or provo/disco or melee or mage to kill a couple tsukis get skill gain gain, step on porch unravel the junk from their corpse get imbue gain. Use 50 relic frags and the quest to get your 120. Kind of boring but don't have to leave the wolf house and it is public.

It the Tsuki Garden Easiest way to get there is from the Zento Hub House. Just go out the City Gates and head east around the mountain only a 15 second run. Or can get to the hub from the Brit Moongate Hub Tile is on the second floor of the Brit HUb. Or from BabyDolls IPKU HUB in New Magincia tile on the porch. ONce at the Zento Hub see Picture Or you can run there but it is a pretty good trot from the Dojo or the Citadel.

Oh yeah there is a Perm Healer straight South of the porch and a Ankh straight west a couple of screens.
