No they are doing it to farm the robes. And because of it no one else can get a key. This needs fixing ASAP, like 5 min.Calm down a bit. Its always the rush over the first hours. Let them , they get tired of it pretty soon.

Exactly. It's not in ANY WAY a rush to get in to the Abyss. They're just farming the damn robes. Solution is so absurdly simple too.
1. Make it take more than 50 damage to kill it
2. Everyone that hits it once gets both the key and robe (if neither have been earned already)
3. If you've already killed it, you get nothing.
Problem solved.

Drac said that everyone that hits it is suppose to get a key (bugged) will be fixed. And it is going to get a buff too. They just want to control the market on the robes. Get a key and get teleported out of room LOL
or just make something thats key to enjoying the expansion not be farmed for some item. yeah, this games definatly not item based....

When I did the quest yesterday, it took me three tries to get the key. However, there were no such things as robes on Origin. Odd.

Exactly! Im on a small shard and spent hours trying to get the last key because of the robe farmers. I cant even imagine what people on large shards are going through.
I cant believe this wasn't forseen.

How did you do this yesterday when SA has been up for what 12hrs.
The BEST solution to any farming is a daily CAP of the number of a given items obtainable per ACCOUNT.
Get the quota and have to move on.
I wonder if it would be possible to give him a shield vs anyone not on the final leg of the key quest? (ie: block damage from everyone who doesn't actually need to face him)

Folks its already been stated once in this thread, the keys are bugged, they should be going to everyone who attacks, and Draconi said he'd buff up the boss. Why frustrate yourselves, find something else to enjoy till he and the team can fix it.
There is an alternative to this quest, provided you find someone having already access to Ter Mur. Once in Ter Mur, find a NPC at the NE exit of Ter Mur. He will ask you to bring something to Naxatilor in the city at the entrance of the Tomb of the kings. Once there you will have to learn a bit about gargoyles.

Pretty funny to see (I assume) adults reduced to stomping little kids wanting satisfaction RIGHT NOW DAMMIT!!!!! Go find something else to do.Not like this problem will be a problem for very long.
I also think popps should have a daily CAP on Uhall posts.:loser:
I, do not have problems with daily CAPs on posts as long as they are for any and ALL posters, not just some...........

We had a problem with farmers there... well one in particular... but there were enough of us that we just hung in there and eventually all of us got our keys and we left. We didn't want to just gate to ter Mur... and it was a BLAST going through!
I don't care if someone farms there... as long as they let people who need the key get it. We went back later because only one of us had gotten the robe... we let whomever was there to quest... do so. Only killing when no one was there. There are a couple of other items he drops that are neat! LOVE SA!!

Wow, common courtesy........that did not exist on Atlantic last night. There was a couple who were there for an hour and a half. Stayed parked, and POW, insta killed the spawn.We had no problems with it on Drachenfels. We took turns and let the people who needed a key with the lowest timer get it first.
First few times, because of the mass of players, insults, mud slinging, EV's, poison fields...........I didn't even know it spawned.
I see it as a sad thing that players are so greedy, and ignorant.....and the creepy part is, they're most likely adult players too.
It needs to be a one time shot in there per player.............either that or move the robe to the middle of the abyss.............

I think its the new robe you get, it has +5 intel and +3 hpi

Ok so **** this!!!!! got my 2 keys went to get third, my 2 other keys run out of time and cant get third because the ****er dies before i even get a chance to do anything 
So i go back to get 2 more keys and it says "you have no use for this" WTF!!

+1, I saw someone in the Abyss waering one when I first finished the quest ot get in. Insane that someone had already got one and was wearing it lol.
Last night was one of the most frustrating UO nights in years.
First I could only buy one upgrade code for my accounts from the EA Store since apparently you're only allowed to download one digital copy per credit card. I found this out after I upgraded my first account (not the one I wanted an imbuing character on).
After that disappointment I also tried to get into the abyss. After sitting there repeatedly frustred at those lightning bolts (and the forced wait between each try) and several puzzle board time outs my keys went poof and I was tossed from the room. I couldn't get back in.
Finally some nice person dropped a rune on the ground that a guildmate picked up and I was able to at least check out the city, but by then my limited time to play was done. Oh well, I might try again tonight, IF I'm allowed to buy another code.
