Ideal for the Bot factory

With all the changes that are going on and things going on with the bot factory. I have and ideal.
We all know about the bot issue, but what about the people that afk while working at the bot factory. I do not think it is fear for people to make money for people who are not even trying to work. Meaning, 6 people show up for work and jest before the round starts. 1 person says something like, “need to do something real fast in RL brb” and then gose AFK, yes most of us are willing to watch over their machine but the person dose not come right back till the round it nearly over and I mean like 1 min to 30 sec’s left of the round.
So basically that person that went AFK dose not work the round and but still receives the same money that the workers did, if the workers made like 19 bots, and the AFK’er gets that as well, it’s not fear that we have to watch and work for others for others to gain from nothing. (the same as a bot player)

My ideal is, EA can put a team leader button, and the first person to show up for work becomes the team leader and can be able to boot troublesome people and AFK’ers.
Or EA can make some people team leaders and (I don’t mean just anyone). People that have been with the game for a long time.

PLZ, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing really wrong with going AFK here and there, I have kids and most of you that have kids know what I mean. Things happen in real life that should always come first.
I know my “team leader button” is not the best ideal but I really think something should be done to help out the true sim workers.

or even if everyone could boot by popular vote say if there is 6 people are there and 1 person is causing trouble everyone would click something on the person pic and it will boot them

Not a bad idea, although there's always the potential for it to be abused.
I guess the best way for now is the old ignore button...
Not that it helps when they're already there

Taken from TSOMania Robot Factory Job Walktrhough :
"The ignore button is there for a reason, if a person shows up and does nothing or if someone is there causing problems, use it. This makes it so that you will never have to work with them again."

It's a Boot button, but the only consequence is that if he shows up earlier than you, you going to be alone.

I only go BRB (and came back real quick to) when I have to go to toilet, grab a drink or open my door to someone (to my room, not front door)

And if I am alone, I will only do 1 bot and that's it, I and wait till the round is over until someone comes over.

It would also stop you from working with them next time. It happened to me the other day. Someone showed up, was going to do machines 1 and 8... then went away from keyboard leaving us running around to recover. He never did come back but stayed the whole shift getting paid for nothing. I think a boot system needs to be placed in all job tracks.

I haven't been to the Bot factory since the beta days of TSO, so I don't remember a whole lot about it, but I DO remember dying there quite frequently.. there should be a way to kill 'em. (LOL) That will teach them. If you give them negs out the waszu and they turn red and quit working maybe they won't get payout??? Just an evil thought. LOL

Well... you could always skill up and get Lure... lure them onto the tracks and celebrate their firey corpse leaving the factory... lol

That's true but once you put them on your ignore list you will never have to work with them again.

As for your idea of a team leader that could be abused too easily. You would have griefers going to work just to boot everyone out. What would be better I think is something built into the program which would keep track of each avatar's interactions. If any avatar didn't complete at least 6 work related interactions such as turn on machine and repair they would not be paid.

OK heres a good Example,
3 people, 2 working and 1 only standying there.
if they ignore the 1 that is only standing there, making thier moeny.
he will still do it to others.

Example:

This pic was takin only as a good example, no pointing and no nameing...lol

Well after a few times, and if everyone at the job ignore him/her, then he will be stuck at a factory by him/herself. I know this is the long term route but as of now, there is no other way to do this. I think in jobs, they should have a voting system. 1 person can nominate that so-and-so should be removed from this job. Everyone votes. Majority rules. This will also free up another spot at the job incase someone comes late.

If everyone on the crew is fed up, you can all put the person on ignore, leave the factory, call a taxi -- and you will be taken to a new site where the slacker cannot follow you.

This also works for any job where you arrive too late for the round. Just put the people on the lot on ignore, then call a taxi to another job site. Usually you will arrive at a site where the round has not started. (If it has, repeat the process.)

People who want to slack their way to promotions and income are playing the game their way. That doesn't mean you have to include them in your play.

You can't control what the slacker does to other players, but you have the power to exclude him/her from your game.

Some people have RL emergencies, so I try to give them benefit of the doubt. I give them one round to take care of their problem if they communicated with group they will brb. After that, it is open season. I lure them on the track and they die the at the beggining of next round.

Had some guy plant himself in a tool room last week that appeared to be afk. Asked him to help and when I received no response I attempted to lure him. When he denied the lure action I was very aware that he was not afk and was just refusing to work. At that point, I went on strike and refused to work as well. Blew up every robot that came to my station. I refuse to make money for those that can't help. After round finished, he left.

Had another girl that didn't like the way the team worked and she decided to just go to tool room and pout too. When round ended we just all put her on ignore and left her alone, while we went to another factory.

I prefer when they say they are going afk and actually do it because then my death lure really works . Actually, I'm so proficient at killing afk workers that I've managed to even get a few on the tracks to die without having to use lure.
Feel free to call me anytime you have a problem that needs to be taken care of at your factory. Hitman for hire. hehe.

This is the very reason why I send my sim with 'Lure' to work in the bot factory. Many an afk'er has come to an untimely end on the track

I have also lured some to their death or out of the building and they always come back really mad rofl! If I am on feel free to IM me, I have another sim that can lure so I wouldn't even have to leave my factory. There are many ways to deal with these people, if you don't have the skills to lure. Ignoring and striking being the easiest of course. Oh and don't forget if one of you die, you can always possess them and walk them on the track! Had a good friend do this and I laughed so hard I had to AFK on break lol!

The team leader button sounds like an ok idea, but it could also have the potential to be abused. Maybe it would be good if we just had a different system of giving out the money that depends on the amount of work done. Or a system to catch the people doing this. It doesn't sound like it would be terribly complicated but I don't know much about technical issues.

Sounds like the best thing to do would be to have a sacrificial sim to die and take care of the problem. Of course I would have a sim to revive waiting at the factory.

If you are both in the factory can you lure someone outside without being outside?

No because you lure them to where you are or close to.

OK here's My Idea....

assume you are on a level that pays $10 and you make 20 Bots.

Thats a maximum payout of 10 ($) x 20 (Bots) x 6 (Max ppl who can work) = $1200 per round.

Next you work out the number of activations needed to make the 20 bots.

8 activations x 20 bots = 160 activations.

$1200 / 160 Activations = $7.5 per activation.

If there are 4 of you and you all work then get paid the $200 each but if only 3 of you activate for more then say 7 minutes you get paid per activation.

so if you activate 3 machines once for every bot...

3 machines x 20 bots x 7.5 per activation = $450 for the round

I realise this is not a perfect solution but its an idea.
