Idea for virtue "Spirituality" and forensic, tracking, ....

There are some skills, which are not really in use at moment. And i thought it would be nice to get the last 2 virtues in use. So how about:

Activate the virtue - Spirituality:

How to gain in virtuality?

My idea is to get graveyards more attractive again. - If you go to graveyards: Use skill "detected hidden" to reveal hidden bones. As higher skill in detecting hidden is, as easier is to find the bones.

With "forensic eval" you can reveal the name of the murder of that person. As higher your forensic skill is, as clearer the aera, where the murder spawns can be located. - There will be an item found at the bones, which was owned by the murder. (to be exactly there are several items, but you will need item id, to find out, which item belongs to the murder)

F.e. - low skill in forensic (around 50) gives only the name.
High skill at 80 or higher tells you "the person is slained by XXX who lives near Yew"
With Tracking skill at 50 you can track the murder, when you are at the same subserver.
With Tracking skill at 80 you can track the murder for anywhere.
So with 50/80 skill you can locate the person easy. With 50/50 skill you will need to recall to different towns to track there... etc..

So when you tracked the murderer, you will find a gypsy camp, where 5 blue npcs are.

If the item, which was found by the bones will be handed back to the murder, the murder will get red (PK) and its 4 friends too. - The Murder should be a challenge (like the mages in shame), the other 4 just like normal mages/warriors.

After you killed the murder, you will find a soulstone at the murders body. - The soul he stole from the one, whom he murdered.

Handing this soulstone back to a grave/church, will make you gain in spirituality.

Like this skills like deteced hidden, tracking, forensic and item id, would get more attractive again, people would go to graveyards again, and virtue spirituality would get active.


I have plans for virtue humility with skills camping and herding, too. But lets roll first this idea, what you think about it?

this sounds more justice than spirituality... spirituality should be something tied to religion that in UO is related to virtues itself...

but still, the idea is nice to let us gain justice without farming pk :D

I agree with Pinco, this would be better for gaining Justice outside of PvP.

Spirituality would be better gained doing something at the Shrines, or constructively using the other Virtues (small amounts could be gained ressing, turning in lost items directly to their owner, embracing your Honor, etc). Activities at the Shrines could be along the lines of keeping them clean (vines and such could overgrow them every few hours), keeping them monster free (think the mini invasions from the Restoration of Love event), meditating using the sigil (timered item acquired from a town's mayor or some such), etc.

I do like the idea about adding in tracking, as I had a similar notion regarding locating the owners of lost items if you know their names. Especially since finding people in Yew, Britain and Trinsic can be a pain.

Honor needs a PvP method to be gained, which could be easily accomplished using the arenas. PvM honor also needs some tweaking to be gainable for more than just sampires. Following all the 'rules' to gain it for a mage can be suicidal, especially since the succubus is pretty much the only way to gain on the 3rd path.

This does sound more like Justice. Maybe Spirituality should be tied into getting all the virtues up to a certain level and having spirituality going up one step. This could then slow down your decay on the other virtues. It would encourage working up all of them and would match the ideas behind Spirituality.
