Idea for Guild Chat.

Seems to be an issue with some guilds that they run into issues with 100+ members on at once and some are just chatting, while others are screaming murder from FEL champ, while others are requesting rez's from a number of locations.

Would it be possible to have Lets say, 4 Chat Channels for guilds And the player could choose to monitor one or all of the channels. Just an Idea. I sure it will be shot to Ka'Ka but worth a shot right?

A possible work around for you is to implement a guild policy where use create general chat channels for the different functions you named.

Just what I was thinking, Instead of having the Devs create this you could use the already ingame functions and make use of the chat system.

I'd imagine the privacy option being the big draw to using guild chat...where as anyone can join a public chat room to listen in on you without you knowing.
Sure most people wouldn't bother joining and you could disguise yourself with your names but the ones that would spend the time and seek you out are the ones hellbent on giving you trouble!
Perhaps if private chat rooms could be made.

There used to be an option to make a password requirement to enter a channel. I wonder if they could add this feature again.

Yeah I do remember that, but that was back in the day when the global chat was so hidden and you could do those commands like /pw and /kick etc (global chat had been around for a long time just very few knew of it and how to find it). Wonder if BTeng left any of that functionality in there?

The EC makes it much easier to handle multiple chats with the tabs. You can filter out the conversation a bit on each tab. There is or was a mod that would even put an asterisk on the tab when new content was added. I believe you can open a created channel in a single tab, and that should be close to what you are looking for.
