I wish they would finally learn, about these events

If you;'re gonna have these events intown, then you should someday somehow someway at long last finally learn to TURN THE DAMNED NO AREA SPELLS/NO SUMMONS SWITCH off.

You want us to participate and kill raiders and have fun, but you take 3/4 of a mages useable spells away from him. I've said this before, but no one wants to listen...so for those who consider this just another whine by a mage:
What if they took out chivalry in town
or if you couldnt use any specials or magic effects on your warrior/archer
Your tamer couldnt have anything stronger than a blue beetle
no poisoning, no necro forms for more mana or faster casting or leeches of any kind...

Think about it. Why are mages pretty much left out of this? Skara is my town, (FSB guild tag should give that away) but what am I sposed to do?

As a long time Dread mage I completely agree!

It would help stimulate the economy for all the local tradesman to rebuild those fallen buildings and cracked foundations from the earthquakes in town!

And so what if the children have to run building to building while dodging a few harmless meteor showers or chain lightning bolts! They can use the exercise!

And nothing puts a little spring in towns people steps like being chased by a Energy Vortex or Summoned Demon down the streets!

But in the end when the city is in flames and all the buildings are in ruins and its citizens are lying injured in the streets! I can proudly say, "Yeah but at least the raiders are gone now!"

I've heard it a couple times, just can't remember, why it gets turned off. I keep thinking grief tactic for some reason. I think turning off specials cheapens the skill, tried that with my first raider, it also became my last, event done.

arent the summons turned off to prevent guard whacking players?

Summons, Area spells, Bardic skills, Necromancy-Life-Leech (possibly any life leech, don't know). How about turning off all offensive skills and items so all you can do is to throw ingots and gears at them? The real reason possibly is this - they will introduce something new to our world: Cannonry. :gun:
It will be still difficult as the raiders move rather fast.

btw i didnt see any raider on Pac for the last 4 weeks at least - did we beat them allready?
