That sounds like what a lot of people would want back. I had all kinds of good times in the BK room in Deciet training my skills with friends. There are too many small things like this that have been taken from the game needlessly.

When regular daemons were a challenge, and actually made you feel like you accomplished something when you killed one

Sailing the seas, just because it was interesting to find places you hadn't been before

When Glorious Lord/Lady actually meant something, and only they could get order/chaos shields from the guards in Britain.

When you could ask an npc where the bank was and they would tell you the general direction

The bulletin boards at the inn, that posted where NPC escorts were

The topic is bunk. Doom isn't perfect because you can't get the pieces you want. Last I recall I could pick and choose what type of armor I wanted to create in the golden days. When I used a tool I didn't get a random piece of crap I might or might not need.

I'm sure barb kits grow on trees too. Everyone and their brother has some lying around and they can go and get more on a whim right?

Nostalgia is all fine and dandy but many of us prefer to experience the here and now..and you know....reality.

i dont really believe in item decay because some people just arent good enough to.
A.earn gold to buy new items.
B.even stay alive in doom
C.have no chars skilled enough to make them

now i can do these things but ive come across many people with junk armor on and no gold many a time in uo these days.

Yay! I'd move to a pre Publish16/AoS/neon server without hesitation, if I could "transfer" my houses and non-AoS items as well.

I miss the days when my blacksmith could make a nice set of valorite armor (preferable a light archer suit for lesser dex penalty), that would keep my warrior protected against all evil.

Today the forge is just a decorative heating device in my home.

I also miss being able to use my bard for PvM!

Now his lute is covered with dust and would probably need new strings to be playable again.

I'm sure I'd miss my LRC suit if I made such move, but we could have reagent bags with some weight reduction and stuff, don't you think?!

Already exists, you just need to look for it.

I still have no idea why they don't do themed shards.
PvP, PvM and roleplaying.

Else they really need to get kr and bugfixes rolling and get new customers.

Yes, definately not a classic shard, because threads asking for those get locked for no apparent reason.
