I think I messed something up...please help

I cleared out my custom content cache last night and when I came back on the game, all of the custom content in my house was either question marks, rainbows or boxes lol. I am still able to see cc at other peoples houses though. I'm hoping I didn't clear out the wrong folder. The folder I cleared out was....program files/Electronic Arts/EA Land/TSO Client/userdata/custom_content_cache/ea_land I "selected all" and then deleted the entire folder. Please help, did I do something wrong?

Leave the lot and return. Sounds like they just need to reload.

I tried that a few times with no luck. Even this morning when I logged on it was still doing it.

Empty it again, log on, be ALONE at your house, lock it, and dont make any roomies enter either, wait till it all loads, and then keep on playing

Hope this helps.
The reason u need to be alone is becuz when other people enter the lot and such, it can stop your cc from loading.

the only possible problem i can see is that if you deleted the "EA Land" folder...i deleted everything in it but i didnt delete the ea land folder itself just its contents...not sure if you did this or not but if you did it like i did you shouldnt have any problems..parizad walked me threw mine and thats basically exactly what she said...just try relogging

I usually have to wait for it to reload. I get a little nervous each time I do clear it but it always ends up loading and it seems my property is the last. I get a message that pops up and even tells me some things can't be loaded but it disappears when your CC finally loads.

I've had this happen when i login extra accts before I let the first one land and load properly. Empty the folder again and try again if you were playing more then one acct when this happened.

I keep a shortcut to the CC cache on my desktop so I dont forget to empty it regularly. Its not something you have to do, but it helps with load times.

I cleared the cache again and logged back in the game and entered the house by myself. Thanks guys for your advice

If I don't clear it out I start seeing purple signs and stuff like that and can't see some cc. You might not notice it if you don't go to a house that has cc.

The cc can take up 200-300 MB on your hard drive too, when it starts getting full, so it can cause other performance problems on your computer.

Logging in with client will cause CC to load improperly. Once you clear your cache, you mist login using TSOPatch/tso.exe.

Those that use client for logging in second accounts will continue to have loading problems with CC.

Danny, if you begin to see alot of cardboard boxes and black statues with blue vases on top, it is a sure sign that you need to clear your cache. You are missing the ability to view alot of custom content.
