about two weeks ago I accidently found a bug in the game that could easily be used to scam people for a lot of money.
I don´t think many people know about this or it would definitely be used.
I have PMed Mesanna the details and I get a message back saying: thank you very much for reporting this!
I checked today and I found that it is still possible.
I know that the people working on the game have lots to do atm and I am pretty sure it will be adressed sooner or later.
BUT (and here goes my question): I know it is forbidden to talk about details of exploits here. But you can talk about bugs in the game. What I found out is technically a bug/oversight.
I am simply not sure if it would be better to go public with what I found - to prevent it from happening to someone unaware of the situation - until they fix it.
On the other hand: I did not read anything here about it - ever. So it could be that noone else knows about this (but I highly doubt that). In this case it would probably be better to keep my mouth shut and wait until they do something about it, right?
English is not my first language so I am unsure if revealing the details here would be simply taken as talking about a bug or revealing details of an exploit.
What is "an exploit"? Is it to use flawed game mechanics to get an advantage (take advantage of others)?
