I proposed we rename February 14th as National Candy Day!

As a pixie of body, mind, and soul... I would like to say I think the whole corporate idea of “Valentine’s Day” is a farce, a hallow and evil day where no good comes from it other then candy.

Candy is real, unlike “Valentine’s Day”. Candy is good... unlike “Valentine’s Day”. Candy can even be good for you... very unlike “Valentine’s Day”. And Candy can be enjoyed all year round. Amazingly, totally unlike a very second of the 24 hours of “Valentine’s Day”. I’m also fairly sure every kind of people of the world, every culture, no matter of race or religion makes and enjoys candy. The same can not be said about “Valentine’s Day”.

Even back in the day our world didn’t have candy... a horrible and dark time... I founded the First Church of Candy on the Atlantic shard. Then magically, candy came into I world... slowly, but surely. Yet, the last three Halloweens... the same candy crossed our palms as the makers chose not to invent new things... and that was a downer. Still, the Church of Candy stands strong. Does anyone build churches, shrines or temples to “Valentine’s Day”? I say-ith... “Not on your Nelly.”

So... why not take this outdated and corporate hollow national day of hearts and flowers and just create a celebration of what it's truly all about? CANDY!!!

There are far more interesting gemstones to choose from of all colors and all parts of the world. In fact, if you collected all the gemstones of the earth, put them into a pile and weighted the pile against a collection of all the diamonds, there would still be more diamonds. That’s how dead common they really are.

Some of them are quite breathtaking too. Take some time and visit a natural history museum if you don’t believe me. Some even change colors depending on the light. Last thing I’d want is a diamond.

Besides... that’s national horror day. Candy is just a happy side effect. And those horrible people that give out rasins and other non-candy! That's why kids should carry pepper spray.

I love Valentines Day! I do hope there isn't a shard wide event that takes place on the 14th like last year. Many EM's cancelled their V-day events in order to do the shard wide one.
