i love uo. frankly, it gets tiresome listening to all the pancakes about it. Yeah, its got its issues, but if you don't like it that much, you really shouldn't play.
I for one, love this game, and I think as a shard, and as a community, pacific should set a better example of how the game is played. We should all grow mustaches and love each other too. Love our EMs, and our Devs. Play the game and love it.

yeah i read too much uhaul, and speils and rants. i just want pacific not to pancake like the rest of the shards do... or at least not on our thread. We should be thankful they keep this fossil alive for us at all.

I think some people come here to vent and get other's opinions.
For example, I created the annoyance thread in hopes it would make light of some subject, like disconnecting and relogging dead. Some people can take times like this and make it better by adding in humor. Other people in other threads are just... crazy. I won't name names.

As frustrating as the game gets at times, it is still the only one out there I can actually stomach... the first person and rotating views get me nauseous... plus they seem to lack content.

wasn't me, the only uninsured items I carry are potions and bandaids, I stealthed in and looted her corpse.

I have to say, it definitely adds a thrill to the game when one supr comes in, since we always know more will follow, makes things interesting.

I like raids too because it adds a thrill (especially when Vel and I got with our red friends who are great at PVP and go 5 on 1 and we assist), but sometimes I want my go at Champ spawns, too.

Haha.. already got the beard goin. And yes Uhall gets old, fassst.

11 years and still goin strong here. True, UO can get old/boring/frustrating, but when it does, I switch chars im playing.. make a newb.. stock the vendors.. or just play a dif game for awhile. Oblivion was pretty sweet. Never beat it though.. got sidetracked with the dark brotherhood and thief quests and eventually just got bored with it. GTA3 or greater, are always good games to play too. And who can forget a classic like Half-life?

I also 2nd the "lack of content for newer games." A few irl friends play WoW, and ive watched them a couple times.. frankly, i can't understand any reason beyond graphics and population to even consider playing that game.. cant own a house.. cant drop items.. cant steal from people.. need consent to fight.. But by far the worst imo, is the 'instances.' In WoW.. you wait to party up, get your group, and go tackle a copy of a dungeon while several other parties are doing the exact same thing, supposedly in the exact same place.. Now how does that exactly make WoW a more real of a place? In UO there is ONE dungeon. If you want to fight the champ/monsters, and there are others present.. 95% of the time, you have to fight for it.. not make a copy of the place for your group.. pfft. lol.
