Well... Player Vs Monster is still Player Vs Monster if the monster is a player. PvE would be a better description as it implies the "environment" is AI code rather than a sentient being. Just sayin...

Yea technicaly. But the intelligence behind the compuer is a player along with all the player tendancy like WOW horde. They might be monsters but they are players so thats constitute PVP. Besides I hate that PVE word. I prefer to keep PVM. Where did it come from anyway? First time I heard PVE was during the first years of WOW. But not sure it came from that game.

I was just being a smart ass . We all know what PvM is and what PvP is, I was just trying to show you the joke behind the other posters comment, that was sarcasm to.

Ah didn't know it was sarcasm. Should be a sarcasm symbol somewhere oh well. But yea you might be right EQ might of started that term and then moved on. It's just too broad as environment can be monsters or that barrel that gets in your way or puzzles. As we in UO clasify different activities, PVM is not the same as crafting while when using the term PVE you can actually include crafting in there as the player is against the metel.

Wouldn't that be pvp just the player would be a monster? PVM just don't like to bother killing other players no matter what form they have.
