I have lost 3 bonded pets in the last week...

First it was a pack horse on one char, a few days ago, I logged back in the next morning to find him unbonded walking around in my house.

Then today I logged in to the same char and his beetle was just gone. Not in the stable, logging in a few times does not bring him back, pet slots are empty.

Logged into another char and his beetle was also gone.

Now it is possible that the first beetle had something in his pack and I was not mounted on him. The pack horse that I re-tamed was empty, and the second beetle was empty and I was riding him, and they were all bonded.

Anybody else?

Pets dont autostable if they have things in their pack. Unless you are riding on them :)

And, if you used logout to "rescue" a pet, then log back in (especially if you log back in dead, get rezzed, and claim them from the stable rather than logout/login while alive), sometimes a pet reclaimed thusly will dismount you and stay behind when you log out riding them.

not accusing you of anything, but if you are unattended macroing and you let it go for a while, your pet may go wild and run off.

If you are going to log out with a pet you are riding, get in the habit of hopping off them before you log out and issuing a command so their loyalty will be high, then get back on and log out. Stable any pets you aren't riding. Don't log out with a pet that has stuff in it's bag.

Thank you all for the advise.

No I was not unattended macroing when it happened...

In fact I was testing animal lore on both of them with characters that had 0 lore and were of different race. Strange coincidence that it happened after the testing.

just so you know, when youre pet goes wild again it drops a bag full of what ever it had on it, so it no longer has any of the loot you left in it. If you dont get to the bag in time it decays...Mine did this last week
