I been playing UO half my life its kinda hard to just walk away from so much time effort I wish I could tbh tho
hell anymore I sometimes wish id just get hacked so I could walk away for good lol
It is kind of weird to put it in terms, because, yeah, when I started in 98, that was half my life ago.
I will say that taking breaks here and there, including my last one which last over a decade, helped kind of keep things fresh. With my last one, I let my houses fall for friends and guildmates to collect a lot of cool stuff (I basically made it a party). I slightly regret losing some of that stuff (I had over a dozen archery buttes and about 20 display cases, and a lot of statues, etc.) because I came back after my oldest kid (the reason why I stopped with my last break) kept asking me about the bookshelf full of UO collectibles, books, games, etc. Teaching him and my youngest has been great though.
