Is this rare? How much would it sell for? It does nothing when I double click it so it's not an ask and answer ball

I have a crystal ball that is blessed with lights but no animation

I think that they could be considered semi-rares now - even though they were once commonly found as loot on mongbats and such. Their commonality roughly coincided with furs...(Way Back When).
For several years now, they've been no longer obtainable. I have a couple left, and I hang onto them for sentimental resons

they were from liches. Got them while hunting the big scary hard to kill lich at the moon glow grave yard.

I used to have a few of them, Katlene is right they came from lich. Most of mine from Yew forest when that place used to be camped. Most didn't bother to collect them, they had no useful purpose and weighed 10 stone each.

If you double click on them and they say something, they are old Ask and be answered balls, which have been unlabeled in a vendor due to a still existing bug (at least one of my balls put in the main bag of a vendor for some days lost its label).
Also some of the City globes came bugged without name (if you did claim them much later from the ticket).

Well most likely it is a bugged snow globe then. But it has LIGHTS but NO animation. How much would this sell for in the open market? It is blessed and does nothing when I double-click it.

I have always loved the crystal balls and collected them. I have like 4 different ones (or more) blessed, unblessed, sparkles and without sparkles. At one time couldnt you get a crystal ball from new player tickets?

I'm pretty sure you're right.
Ok, This is where they come from. Take your Ask and answer ball, drop it on a vendor, and it turns in to a plain crystal ball. Sucks, I just loaded 4 on my vendor and they all lost the writing.

Nope, liches NEVER had BLESSED crystal balls as loot. I have several left over from liches and they were never blessed.
The blessed ones with no writing are broken ask and answer balls that someone had placed in the main backpack of a vendor, which caused it to lose its writing, but kept the "blessed" property. GM's can fix them, btw.

I hope you're not implying that they still work as an Ask and Answer ball. For the millionth time people (for those who are purposely ignoring what I write and what others write) double clicking on my snow globe does NOTHING. There are sparkles but no animation. Also did I mention it gives +20 str +20 dex +20 int 1/3 faster casting and recovery and also 50% SDI. Just kidding about the latter.
