I get bad conscience for PvP:ing with EC

Heya,

Couple days ago I figured how to get mounting macros done and still basically using old way of targeting. I also got pretty much all other macros my mage needs done.

So, last night I went to PvP with it, and I stumped on 2 enemy factioneers I had never seen before and they seemed bit new to PvP. And ohh hell... I felt so bad for them cause I ran hell lot faster then they did, and they prolly thought I'm speed hacking. I mean the other guy started running away low health, I precasted energy bolt and ran to range easily and booom he was dead.

Blaah... I thought that now that I got my macros done in EC I can compete with speed hackers if I just get used to the EC, but now I'm getting bad conscience for using it when the "enemy" is not speed hacking :twak:

The EC definitely does not allow you to move faster than Classic Client users. It just appears so, cause the screen movement on the Classic Client is choppy, while on the Enhanced Client it is more smooth. The EC also seems to compensate lag better, which however can result in synch issues and rubberbanding.

Your "advantage" is only subjective, believe me.

No, there is actually a real advantage. You're not faster in EC when running a straight line, but when changing direction, you're faster.

Also the EC automativally runs around single obstacles, meaning you don't get stuck on a single tree but run around it in a smooth movement. A fantastic feature! Especially when running through woods. This is one of the thing I got so used to by now, that I want to throw my mouse out of the window when playing CC and bumping into every little thing.

I too love the way the EC automatically directs the character around obstacles. However, a skilled Legacy Client user can be just as fast. It just has been made more easy with the EC.

I know I run much, much faster in the EC than I do in the Classic.

Shame that the EC is not being fixed and crashes my pc.

Picturing this and then seeing the birds after in the thread made me laugh out loud like a crazy person in a room with other people. That being said...

I'm afraid to get used to the EC because i think it will get changed again. I don't want to miss it when they overhaul it or anything and miss the features that make it great when they remake a new one. Just a little fear

I wouldn`t feel too bad,afterall.... they have access to the same speed hack, hehe.

I`ve just gotten done installing this and that and tracking down bios drivers (FUN) and FINALLY got my Phenom quad core up and running and I`ve got to say. Big difference so far and not in a good way. Its still playable but I`m alot more laggy with the the quad, just seems like its working hard to run UO. Even crashed once today for the first time ever. I`m noticing the map takes longer to load ahead of ya than it takes to get there, some black areas while the map fills in. Definately played better on my older machines so far.

I`m sure it has something to do with disabling cores or sumthing to that effect. Gonna keep tweeking and searching for the answers. Not a game breaker by no means but a noticeable difference on my end since changing my hardware.

I forgot how much fun it is resetting up all these damn macros across 3 accounts!

Lil OT.... anyone have knowledge of how to install raid drivers off a floppy when you have no floppy drive? Tis the last thing left I haven`t been able to get done. DAMN MB manufacturer could`ve made it alot simpler if this came with a MB driver cd. :(
