Try right clicking on your UO icon and running as administrator. It might allow you to patch. GOod luck.

Instead of patching, try uninstalling and downloading the client directly from UO. And be sure to use admin rights as the other posters suggested. OH... not a bad idea to upgrade to Win 7 if you can afford it.

you are right, there are some that just don't get it...

can you explain easily how linux has no "usability ?" think hard before you say it doesn't run Office or
some other windows based pos program or that it can't run games well.
