I cannot move or can I ?

I have a house (A). I found another spot I may place a house on(B). Lets say I place this new house. Can I move my stuff from A to B then demo A. Or do I need to pack all my belongings on my chars then demo A in order to allow me to build B ?
Ive been playing around with the tool but Im scared to become homeless.... will it lock me out of both untill I demo A or B?

You can Place house 'B'. Once you place house 'B', house 'A' will become 'condemned' and will begin an approximate 7 day deterioration cycle. You'll have about 7 days to move your stuff from house 'A' to house 'B' before house 'A' would fall. You may, at any point before house it falls, redeed house 'A' to retrieve the value of the house.

That is how I moved about 3 years ago, and I didn't have any problems. However, any time you have a concern, that is what Test Center is for. Test has its own housing server, which allows you to try out things there without disturbing your real shard house in any way.

Thanks. I only wonder if I can place 2 homes in one day on TC . I'll see right now I guess .
*edit* Oops I have to wait 15 days after char creation , well Ill report back on that if it helps anyone.

you don't need to wait on the timer on test center, there's a gate at Brit bank that removes it
