How many of you have houses on Siege, but don't play the shard on a regular basis? Are they grandfathered? Just grew tired of playing but like the plot location?

I know there are a lot of grandfathered houses, but I am trying to get a grip on how many of the houses belong to people who actually play the shard. I'm sure there are many that belong to players with multiple accounts, but I am interested to know how many people own houses on Siege that don't play here...or play here much...la

I have a large tower there but do not play there much anymore. It and all the other houses on that account are grandfathered. I drop by every now and then to see if anything has changed, but it just kind of sits there for now.

Ya I like to see that, used to have houses on several shards. When they went one house per account we moved to the bank and dropped or gave the others houses away.

I use every one of my grandfathered houses (guildhouse, public hunting lodge, free housing for those down on their luck, etcetera) - and EARNED every single one, as well.

Don't be messing with my grandfathered account, sirrah.

Play as long as he/she has, then you will have "earned" the right as well ... I'm not psychic, but I'm pretty sure he/she is not referring to gold.

You have the way of it. My account will celebrate its 11th birthday, come this October. Those houses which I did not personally place, I inherited from those whom I'd long been caretaking for - or was gifted with in appreciation for community efforts (for community use).

I have never purchased a standing house, for gold or otherwise. My original home is a small, tiny house that I placed in '98 (after tailoring for two solid months, night & day, to raise the money for the deed) - and that is where I yet live. You could not PAY me to 'upgrade'. I'd not trade my history or friend's lists for anything. Ever.

My homes (3) are on cats and my daughter has 1 on legends. ie 4 accts. I do have a pretty advanced char on SP and would probably play more there if I did have housing. The cats houses belong to family members, and adding another acct is not an option.

I had a house inside the walls of Luna when AoS launched. I got rid of it when I quit UO shortly after that.

Because of the new housing rules I only have a house on Sonoma now. I don't really play Siege enough to have my house there.

imhop, More people would try/play siege if having a house there would not condem their main shard house. This would be for testcenter and siege only exception.

If that's what it takes, I'd rather they stay on their trammel shard. Opening up Siege like that would only have a bunch of people place houses (just to have one) and then never play the shard. It would suck when people actually did want to move to Siege if there was no housing for them.
