I'm amazed I passed. If you ask my family, they'll tell you it takes at least another two cups of coffee before I can be considered even vaguely human

We were just talking about that. Out of all the things you could attack with 100.000+ IPs, why on earth some Ultima Online site.
That is a question we have been asking ourselves ever since this debacle started - if you find the answer let us know.

Stratics prolly did NOT agree with and highly promote the "SKY IS FALLING" opinion after the latest/next changes in/for UO!

Iam a human too .. yet all of a sudden i had to do the test twice.
The first time was when i refreshed my browser (i had the forum open for a couple hours in the background, IP didnt change since i started the pc). Then i saw this thread and wanted to reply .. when i hit that reply button i had to do the test again ...

How is it that UOStratics even allows Lord Chaos to talk about a site here that allows you to sell for real money, talk about illegal programs and discuss bugs/exploits. Don’t believe me go look at his site and read his rules about this.

I've seen some forums where you have to do the captcha for Every post,even After you log in. This works for me, don't mind at all

Yes the site allows items to be sold for cash, but that's not against the ROC of UO, nor the fansite program agreement.
Its not "my own" forum, the company I manage happen to own it. Here on Stratics I post as a UO player and as a UO player UOF and UOS are viable alternatives to eachother. Nothing whatsoever wrong with that.
Besides, I am not plastering UOS with UOF links or throwing links in every discussion of Stratics long stream of issues over the years.

I don't know what you are talking about, but anyway, some people will find any reason to jump on LC it seems. He could write anything or its contrary, it would still be an awful thing.
That really wouldn't surprise me, as a combined forum, its almost as capable of being a nuisance as 4chan.
That seems to me to be a matter of semantics.
UOF is not privately owned by you, but it is still owned by the company you are CEO for, which would make the use of "your" not inaccurate, in a broad sense.
It just seemed that you were being a mite opportunistic, and even a little passive aggressive.
Considering how much they could be hammered for, I believe I was extremely mild. I don't make money of UOForums, nor would I even if it had ads. But again, as a UO player UOForums remains a valid alternative to UOS.

I browse both forums. I read a lot more than I post, and I don't think I really hold a preference one way or another. Comparing communities can be like comparing apples and oranges, if I like both there's really no reason I should choose between them.
I'm not even sure I'm arguing anything, really.
Only putting words to my perception that using the troubles to promote an alternative site seems a little of a low thing to do.
You're entitled to your opinion on that of course. I'll say that if I plastered it over every thread with Stratics issues, then I'd agree, but since none of us do, then I don't agree.
