Isn't it about time humans were allowed to wear elven gear?

It isn't as though we're all going to rush out and buy Mondain's Legacy. Morph Earrings establish that we can wear the pieces. And those who would still benefit from some of the art and clothing - RPers - aren't big in the faction scene.

i have a slightly different opinion...
I think All gear should be just that, usable by All. No worrys about what will convert/modify, or not. I feel this opens up more of the game for use by wider groups of players than current.
People have dressed even babies in Darth Vader costumes, who was supposed to be around 7 feet i think. I think the current standings makes elves seems weak, small, and frail, it's just not so, and they come in large size too.

Stone armor? it can't be made in smaller sizes?
Can't sew cloth/wood, making whatever, to look-like, and fit a human, elf and garg alike?
BS. - It's another example of DEV extremeness of taking things too far. I don't have a garg, so what it did was make all crafting in that direction, Not. All garg loot is trash loot for me, exc for unraveling.
Stone weapons too heavy? Just not believable. We all have the same size paper doll, we all have the same dex/str ratings. With the upcoming unknown changes to be had for metal armor, I think it'd be a great opportunity for them to give this an adjustment.

On a similar note, "Mage Weap"... All weapons you are not proficient in should give have a small minus such as that. Swing a sword, swing a club, both pretty similar in my book. You haven't suddenly gained 2 left thumbs because you picked up something to attack with. Which also means UBWS should be fixed w/ archery. If I could use more of what the Devs made, instead of being shut out of parts of the game, game play would be a lot more fluid, imo.
A mage can swing any weapon, over a trained swords person, naw.

soon we will have Vesperian fishing rods... that only those which have positive town loyalty to Vesper can use...

same for the yew bear masks... and the trinsic paladin swords... the skara rangers cloak... etc...

yup, I'm just making it up... hehe.

Indeed.

And they even employ NPCs from time to time wearing articles of clothing that, racially, they shouldn't be wearing (ie elven boots, the fancy shirt).

So, please, make it so.

On the armor my view is the tips the other way. When the elves got introduced some of the old armor should of been tagged "humans only" Letting all the armor cross over just makes for bunch of cookie cutter suit choices. With all the arty they should of added into the armor order and chaos armor to break up the same old same old. Armor pieces that when mixed worn just mute each other out or kicks off body into backpack. Players complain about all the choices and numbers of armor. Armor blinds would limit a race of armor that could be worn more so hteir karma comes into play.

If armor was less like a fridge magnet and sticking to anything metal besides a fridge. They would of had more hunting choices based off special armor drops. Monsters loot being more based off what they been killing so there would be places that would have only pure human armor only.

Like the weapons cross with negs for the unskilled type. Being a big fan of combat crafters I always thought a tinker, carp, smith, glassblowing and fletcher should be able to use weapons they could craft. Not being masters of a weapons skill would not use weapon specials. Tac and anat still be an option for damage bonuses. There is no reason a tink miner wouldn't know what end of a pickaxe to hold and swing at a foe with some effect. A swordsman gets a bonus from jacking. Why shouldn't a pure jacker not be limited to axe weapons with no specials? A fletcher fisher should be able to use a bow enough to dispatch a sea serp without needing archery and a mortal wound. Just the ol'skool me remembering a day when a fighter didn't have to mash half dozen hotkeys a few times during a fight. Just needed the bandie one for me and one or two for my buddies cross heal.

My human carp should be able to put a few knots on a trolls head when recalling home. And not being wearing a granite or fig leaf skirt but "human only" leather chaps. Sporting last weeks Orc Helm crafted from that pesky orc door to door salesmans head. No elf or garg would wear such a barbaric piece of armor.

Unfortunately not,

Griefers would abuse this by wearing elven armor and using it to pvp without being a in a faction.

Elves have the privilege of beeing able to wear Woodland but they don't have JOAT. If you want humans to be able to wear Woodland without morph earrings, then you should give the JOAT to Elves too. I don't see this happening.

A human who wears Morph Earrings gets Woodland Armor and JOAT. An elf that wears Morph Earrings get Woodland Armor but doesn't get JOAT.

Not much of an argument there, is it?
