Human -> Garg item Alteration (Arti)

During the beta I remember being able to alter artifacts, specifically Doom Atries, for Gargoyles, as long as it was an item slot location that Gargoyles have(Chest, Arms, Legs). I just tried altering a Rune Beetle Carapas, though I was not able to. I also noticed that you cannot alter something that is made, or was enhanced, with special materials.

Are other Artifacts able to be altered and just not the RBC(or other ToMarties) or are no Artifacts supossed to be alterable now?

Last week some time one of the dev commented on how the properties were not coming over properly from the altering and that it was being looked at.

I would like to see a response too, my new garg would really like his rune caprice back as well as my arcane sheild(soon)!

I hesitate to even turn one of my characters to gargoyle simply because I don't want to work imbuing up right now and I can't see taking the time for all that clicking

I saw somone running around with an imbued shield that was better than the arcane.
