Well you could dye it with another dye.
Depends on what it is, you might be able to dye it with a furniture dye tub, and try the default option. But that doesn't always quite match the original color.

If it's an add on I assume it becomes a deed if you want to move it?
Such items, when re-deeded, are not dyeable. The deed has the opposite orientation to a new deed and is blessed.

Yes, has to be a new unused deed that you made with colored woods. I've noticed the plain plant dyes removes ALL color, turns it into a black and white version. So besides tok dyes and furny tubs, keep that option in mind.
