How to maximize your burn...

Recently I have been burning a lot of high end runics in smith, tailoring, carpentry, and fletching. So far I have hit afew nice pieces, but I was wondering if there is somthing more I should be doing.

My question is what factors effect the mods you get when crafting items. Here are the factors I can think of, let me know if I missed somthing and how the things below effect the quality of a burn.

1. Talisman (I know you want to be 100/100 chance, but once you have that do you want higher on the exceptional or does it mtter?)
2. Account age
3. Stats (I was always told maximize your intel and mana, is this true?)
4.Luck
5. Where you are (go to fel? Stand in the type of shop that makes the items?)

Let me know if I missed anything, thanks in advance.

From what I gathered from posts in the past, if your 100% to make the item and 100% to make it exceptional then the talisman or ancient hammer will not help (I'm pretty sure this was in a FOF).

Dev's have mentioned that stats do not effect the outcome, but then if you believe it helps then there probably isn't any harm.

Don't recall reading anything about account age or luck other than some people swear that wearing high luck gets better mods. I wouldn't think the age of account would matter.

Two things

You didn't mention Arms Lore / Item Lore.

I thought I saw some where that Arms Lore had an influence on crafting arms.

Second, you can go to TC1 and test all the combination's out.

You can do a Set command for Stats and Skills.

set str 125
set int 100
set dex to the reamining

set amrslore 1200 (as in 120.0)
set blacksmith 1200

there is no limit on uses of the set command ... such that you can do -> set blacksmith 0 - set tailoring 1200 -> set tailoring 0 - set blacksmith 1200

give resources - this command gives you a tone of resources and all the Runic Tools, each with 3000 uses on it.

for an almost complete list of commands words etc you can do

help commands - will list all commands except give seeds.
help skills - will list all the skill names as you need to enter them on the set command.

I think the resources are basically 5000 of each ingot, dragon scale, leather and wood. You get the Bones, Gems etc as well.

Your missing arms lore, and by luck you mean lucky then yes. Nothing else on your list has nothing to do with crafting mods.
