BUILDING HOME USING CRAFTABLE STONE WALLS AND PAVERS
Items Needed
*Note: Statistics based on an 18 x 18 Home
Granite: 10K-13K Depending On Design and Failures
*Note: Using Dull Copper – Valorite Granite will allow you to dye the Stone Walls and Pavers with Pigments or Natural Dyes.
Pigments or Natural Dyes: 30-300 Depending On Charges.
Teleporter Tiles: 2 Or More Sets Depending On Your End Design.
Interior Decorating Tool: Purchased From Architect
Time and Patients: LOTS
Bolts of Cloth: 162 Bolts For Each Additional Floor (324 Gozas)
*Note: Gozas are only needed if you are planning on adding additional floors to the home. Also, make sure you dye your cloth the color you want the Gozas before you make the Gozas.
1: PREPARATION #1: Customize your house and add floor tiles to each floor. Cover the whole floor for the time being. When placing your walls to support the floors, place them in the corners only. Make sure to place teleporters so you can get to each floor. These can be placed anywhere on the floor as you fill the design of you house, but for now we will put them near the Eastern corner.
For the front steps, change them to all east square corner steps. This will help us to put down our stone steps for the front.
2: PREPARATION #2: Now that we have the house set up, we will make our walls and pavers. Each floor will take 324 Pavers and 70 walls when filling the outside of the whole floor. Once you figure out your house design, you can make your inner walls and adjustments to outer. Make sure to use Dull Copper or Higher Quality Granite if you are going to be dying your pavers.
If you are planning on adding additional floors, you will need the same amount of Gozas per floor so make those as well. Remember there are 324 tiles per floor (18 x 18).
3: MAKING YOUR FLOORS: Start covering the floors with your stone pavers working your way towards the Eastern corner. Pavers need to be locked down in order for you to walk on them so make sure you double click each one. This will not affect us for now as we have the customized floor underneath. If you are going to be using Recharge or Veteran Teleporters you can place these anywhere on the floor, otherwise use customize teleporters and place them as close to the Eastern Wall as possible.
4: CLEAN-UP #1: Now that we have paver floors, we can do a little clean-up. Enter customize mode and delete all the floor tiles and walls EXCEPT the last 3 tiles on the Eastern Corner of each floor. One of these tiles should be where the teleporter tiles should be. Do not put the teleporter directly in the corner as that is where the wall will go.
5: ADDITIONAL TILE: Starting underneath the house sign and place a paver onto the foundation. You will notice that it is lower than the regular floor, so it will need to be raised. This tile we actually want on the second floor, so raise it to its max then hop up to second floor and raise the rest of the way even with the floor. Return to the first floor and replace the paver under sign. Continue to place the pavers along the North and West sides of the house raising each one even to the floor. With these tiles, you now have an 18 x 18 area to work with.
To add the additional tiles on the upper floor, we will need to use a few Rough Blocks. Place 4 Rough Blocks on top of the 18th tile we just made, but do not lock them down as we will be reusing them. With the Rough Blocks in place, go up to the next floor and place a paver on top of the Rough Block showing and lock it down. This tile should be level with your floor. Repeat this process until you have added the 18th tile on the remaining spots on the 2nd floor. This will be the same process you will use to add the 18th tile on the remaining floors.
*Note: When adding additional tiles on the 3rd and 4th floors, start on the tile next to the house sign. We will add those tiles after we place the wall over the house sign.
6: PLACING YOUR STONE WALLS: If you jumped the gun and tried to place walls earlier, you will notice that you will lose 1 tile due to position of the wall on the tiles. This is why we added the additional tile. Now our walls will line up with the foundation.
We are unable to place a wall where the house signpost is using Stone Walls, so we will hop up to the second floor. Place a Stone Wall on the tile you added above the house sign and lower it to the first floors tile. This will cover the house sign and fill the space we need to in that corner. You can change the type of wall with the Interior Decorating Tool to accommodate your corner needs. With this wall in place, we can now add the missing tile to the 3rd and 4th floors using the same technique as before.
Now that all the tiles are in place, we can continue to build the house. If this is your first attempt at building a stone home, you may want to work on one floor at a time. As you get the hang of the process, you can build as you see fit.
Start next to the wall over the house sign on the first floor and work your way clockwise. Once you have walls along the North and West walls, turn each one using the interior decorating tool so you can see the paver underneath each wall. Double click these pavers and remove them. Once the pavers are removed, turn the walls again to the wall you need for that side. If your design doesn’t call for walls here, just remove the 18th tile.
Continue to build your house as you see fit. The house made for this guide is just a basic stone home. As you get familiar with the process, you can change-up designs to more advanced builds.
*Note: If you are going to be adding a 5th floor, leave the 18th tile on the 4th floor so you can add that tile on higher floors This will be easier if you don’t place walls on 4th floor until after the fifth floor is done.
7: Inside Staircases: If you are not using some sort of teleporter tile, you will need to build a staircase at some point. For this we will need 4 Rough Steps and 6 Rough Blocks per staircase. Each staircase will take a 1 x 4 area per set.
Once you have the staircase in place, go to the floor above and remove the pavers over it so you can walk up. If you accidently remove a wrong paver, use the 4 Rough block method to add it again.
*Note: If you are going to add walls next to the staircase, you may have to put walls down first before you start the steps.
8: Front Steps: When we prepared the house for setup, we placed square corner steps along the front. Place a stone paver on top of the steps and lock it down. Our Stone steps will be placed on the paver and then lowered once.
9: Clean-Up #2: Now that the rest of the house is built and we can get to the other floors, it’s time to take care of the Eastern corner. Customize the house again and delete the remaining the walls and teleporters but leave the 3 floor tiles for now. Commit to the design and place pavers on the tiles we have left. Customize again and delete the remaining tiles on each floor. The house will now look like it did when we started, a plain plot.
10: Additional Floors: We are unable to build any higher than 10 raises from the roof floor with stone pavers, so we will need to use Gozas from this point on. Place the Gozas on top of your pavers on your roof and raise them 15 times. Do the same with one of your teleporters. Take the teleporter up and continue to raise the goza another 6 times. Continue this process until you have what you want for a floor. Once you are done with the floor, you can place walls on the roof under your Goza floor. Walls will stay up as they are actually placed on the pavers and not above the 10 raise limit.
*Note: To save yourself some clicks, you can place 2 rough blocks then the goza. If you try to place a 3rd block, it will pop back into you backpack.
If you don’t have any teleporters, you can make a stair case with Gozas to the upper floors. Start by placing a row of 11 Goza’s where you want the stair cast. For each goza after the first, raise it 2 times more than the previous tile. The problem with these types of stairs is it will take up over half of a row (1 X 11) so it’s best to do these staircases on the edge
***WARNING***: DO NOT USE STONE PAVERS. Stone Pavers will fall to house sign if used any higher than 10 raises from top floor at server up.
***WARNING***: DO NOT CUSTOMIZE HOME. Customizing the home after any floors are built above the roof will ALSO drop to house sign.
