How rare are Chicken Lizard Eggs?

I took one of the Dreads and trotted over to Chicken Lizard Village and killed 2 Chicken Lizards. I got 2 eggs. I thought "Wow, this is easy!" 2 characters and 170 Chicken Lizards later I had precisely 2 eggs.

Are these eggs really this rare?

Went from glorious down to noble killing those darn things for 4 eggs. Didn't keep count, but I know it had to have been over 100, maybe even 150.

I gave up on trying to farm eggs and just tamed a few. They should bond tomorrow.

must have missed something again... why killing chicken lizards for eggs instead of cooping them and waiting for one to be laid?

Just tame 3 and let them bond and place them in a chicken coop. After bonding every 2-3 days you get new eggs.

Well, I have Dreads for that sort of activity so I don't have to worry about karma loss so I figured it was a good way to get eggs.

I also read about people with 10 or 12 coops on their property. Nothing ruins the property value of a castle or keep more than a whole bunch of chicken coops. I just didn't want to turn into that chicken-guy, it's sort of like the cat-woman.

So, yes they are this rare, or did I have a terrible rng thing happening to me?

Powergamers pretty much try to do things faster, so it seemed good to have 50 eggs in the incubator at once instead of 2 or 3. I just had no idea I wasn't about to have 50 eggs when I started. I figured I'd kill maybe 1k chicken lizards and have tons of eggs.

Depends on how long ya cook em!

Sorry, it was there, had to take it...

Honestly, no idea how "rare" they are to get, but I keep hearing peeps complainin about the ones they get from laying that die, or get burned, or whatever...
So I wonder, are the harvested eggs from kills, easier to tend and hatch than those that are laid by bonded pets?

Anyone kept notes and know?

I have had none of my chicken eggs burn or die. You just need to water them once a day. However, I still havent' gotten a battle chicken. :cursing:

I tamed and bonded some chickie lizards early on. I get a ton of eggs and so far they seem to incubate the same as wild gathered eggs. Taming and bonding seems to be the way to go. I will say after about 30 eggs hatched, only two produced battle chicks and one of those missed a watering and was parched.
Fresh egg = 5% chance for battle, Damaged egg (via forgetting to water/burning) = 1% chance for battle.

This link says 10% chance. Then 5% then 1%. http://uoherald.com/guide/guide.php?guideId=277

I have had over 40 mature eggs. Not one battle chicken.

I sell them on my vendor for 10k each. Someone is marking them up to 100k and describing them as "Crack the egg, see what you get".

If I dont sell them I let them lose in Destard. hehe

I have not noticed any difference between eggs I've got as loot and eggs that my bonded chickens have laid, including the number of battle chickens I have gotten from either.

No one egg is easier or harder to care for than another.

..... I will say after about 30 eggs hatched, only two produced battle chicks and one of those missed a watering and was parched....
Same here; I usually get around 1 battle chicken egg per 15 eggs I incubate. Sometimes closer to 17 eggs, sometimes closer to 13. So on average, 15.

I'm selling mine about 30k...I was thinking about going down in price until I so your post, and now I will.
Are you on Atlantic? I've seen eggs in Luna on my shard that say that.
